Cocktails And Dreams – Never Say Goodbye (1987) While trying to track down unreleased music by Norwegian minimal synth duo Paha Sapa, we got in touch with Nils-Johan Pedersen, who introduced us to another project he had recorded with Cocktails And Dreams. Recorded in 1987 but left unheard for nearly four decades, “Never Say Goodbye” immediately stood out with its shimmering guitars, lush synthesizers, and unforgettable vocal performance. We’re thrilled to give this lost synth-pop gem its first official release on Lonely Man’s Dream.

Eleven artists. Eleven songs. Each one rare, obscure, or otherwise lost to the margins of music history.

Spanning the dreamy psychedelic folk of the 1970s to the cool shimmer of 1980s synth pop, this is a decade of curatorial wandering distilled into one record.

Two tracks surface here for the very first time: “Never Say Goodbye” by Cocktails and Dreams, a luminous synth pop transmission from Norway, and “True Love” by Keith Jones, a drum machine demo that pulses with late-night intimacy.

What unites them is harder to name than it is to feel. The sound of someone searching. The feeling of a memory you can’t quite place.

Ten releases in. Still looking for the same thing we started with. We hope you feel it too.
