I typically leave our social media content up to others on my team, but as the Executive Producer of themellowsound.net, recently celebrating our seventh year, I wish to thank my Dream Stream Team members who make it all possible. Feel free to give any or all of them a "shout out" here.
Douglas C Brown is more responsible for our daily operations than anyone else. He works hard producing EVERYTHING you hear, and is also one of our voice talents in promos and imaging,
Brad Goldman is our artist relations guy who is mostly responsible for the artist introduction liners heard on our stream. He also gets credit for involving Douglas (whom I did not know) in our effort.
Steve Marshall has ULTIMATELY made all of this possible by his trailblazing work back in the 1970s when KNX FM 93 was originally conceived and launched. That he would agree to join our effort so early after we launched is a testament to the authenticity for which we always strive. Steve is our primary male voice talent.
Mary Price is our female voice talent. While she was not featured on the original KNX FM 93, she worked middays in the same studios at Arrow 93, which eventually and successfully replaced The Mellow Sound. She has done wonders to seamlessly blend her skills into our signature sound.
Christopher Ames brings our listeners the Odyssey Files. He was critical to KNX FM 93 as its news director, but did NOT host the Odyssey Files back then. When he was asked to recreate them, he kindly agreed to do so and brings his unique sonic irony to each one heard.
Kevin Speaks does not get enough credit for all that he has done in keeping our sound truly authentic. If I was a fan of KNX FM 93, Kevin was -- and remains -- an uber-fan! He has a perfect memory of all that was played...in the proper order, and has been responsible for sourcing much of our music.
Bryan Fricker assists from a distance, helping us to promote our efforts by being our most ardent supporter and cheerleader.
Dale Berg deserves a mention for assisting me in learning enough about streaming to know that he was NOT the right long-term partner. After a contentious separation some years ago (boy drama, as my wife called it) we all wish him well.
HAPPY NEW YEAR to our listeners and to our team members who make the magic happen.
We were there. We remember. And we bring it back. Every day.
