This is 48.

I'm not ashamed of my age. I'm proud of it. I got to level 48, and not everyone does. It doesn't get any easier. Just like the old school video game Frogger, life gets harder with each level until you die.

But I'll keep hopping along, finding joy, humor, and sarcasm along the way. 😉🫶🏻

This Election Day, I am swept back to the echoes of those women who came before me—the silent ones, speaking only when summoned; those whose voices were stolen by husbands, whose ballots were never theirs to cast. I remember those who were never granted the right to choose, defined and confined by others’ words. Those who lived in the shadow of closets, who made themselves small to survive.

Privilege, an invisible mantle I wear, lightens my path but does not erase my trials. Yet, privilege is not measured by the absence of hardship, but by the absence of chains that still bind so many. I am here to shatter those chains, to break those barriers. I vote to clear the path for others.

What a LOVELY day! It was a HOT one, but we talked to hundreds of community members, families, and allies. I made connections with folx that will be integral to a new adventure I'll announce sometime this week, too, so stay tuned... 🤫

Thank you .pride for a wonderful, colorful, and safe event! You all thought of everything from volunteers walking around with bottled water and snacks for anyone that wanted them, to the semi-enclised space that kept the community safe from those that might want to do harm. My kiddo loved the goat yoga, BTW. 🐐😁

I received my favorite childhood book THE POKY LITTLE PUPPY by Janette Sebring Lowery as a Mother's Day gift from .boulanger and we held a little bedtime storytime tonight.

No matter that the kids are now 15 and 21. The Poky Little Puppy gobbled up the rice pudding and chocolate custard, and missed out on the strawberry shortcake. 🍰
