Wow, wow, wow! What a place Saint-Tropez is. It may be the most luxurious place I’ve ever visited. There’s beauty and elegance everywhere you look, along with some of the most fabulous shopping I’ve ever seen.

It’s definitely a different pace from Scotland and Wales, where we just were. Everyone here seems to be on the go, but I have to say, the people-watching may be the best in the world!

Afterward, we stopped for drinks at the Airelles Hotel, where the latest season of The White Lotus was filmed. Such a beautiful setting, with elegance and luxury everywhere you look!

¡Wow, wow, wow! Saint-Tropez es espectacular. Creo que es uno de los lugares más lujosos que he visitado en mi vida. La belleza y elegancia está por todos lados, y las tiendas son simplemente increíbles.

El ambiente es completamente diferente al de Escocia y Gales, de donde acabamos de llegar. Aquí todo el mundo parece ir de un lado a otro, y lo tengo que decir… ¡tan sólo ver a la gente es un buen espectáculo!

Después fuimos a tomar algo al Hotel Airelles, donde se filmó la última temporada de The White Lotus. ¡Un lugar precioso, lleno de lujo y muy elegante!

Our first stop is Santorini! What a wonderful surprise to unexpectedly cross paths with my good friend Woods Staton while we were here. We enjoyed some local pizza, did a little shopping, and then headed back to our beautiful ship. Such a great day in Santorini!

We’re off on a seven-day cruise aboard the Four Seasons Yacht, sailing along the French Riviera from Nice to Palma de Mallorca. What a beautiful start to our journey!

To top it all off, while touring Edinburgh, we were lucky enough to be there during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, with more than 4,000 shows taking place at nearly 300 venues across the city. There was something going on everywhere we turned!

And that’s how we had the opportunity to enjoy the L.A. Philharmonic at the Edinburgh International Festival, with Gustavo Dudamel conducting Beethoven’s Sixth Symphony and Adès’ Inferno. Such a memorable part of our trip!

Para cerrar con broche de oro nuestro recorrido por Edimburgo, tuvimos la suerte de coincidir con el Festival Fringe de Edimburgo, con más de 4,000 espectáculos en casi 300 recintos por toda la ciudad. ¡Había algo que ver y disfrutar por todos lados!

Y fue así como tuvimos la oportunidad de disfrutar de la Filarmónica de Los Ángeles en el Festival Internacional de Edimburgo, bajo la dirección de Gustavo Dudamel, con la Sexta Sinfonía de Beethoven e Inferno de Adès. ¡Sin duda, uno de los momentos más memorables de nuestro viaje!

While touring Edinburgh, we had the chance to attend the world-famous Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

The Tattoo has a fascinating history. After World War II, Edinburgh set out to become a center for international culture, and the first Military Tattoo was held in 1950 on the esplanade of Edinburgh Castle.

Today, it brings together Scottish tradition, music, military precision, and performers from around the world, with massed pipes and drums, dancing, military bands, and an impressive show set against the backdrop of Edinburgh Castle.

Mientras paseábamos por Edimburgo, tuvimos la oportunidad de asistir al famoso “Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo”.

Este espectáculo tiene una historia muy interesante. Después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, Edimburgo buscaba convertirse en un referente de la cultura internacional, y fue así como en 1950 celebró su primer “Military Tattoo” en la explanada del Castillo de Edimburgo.

Hoy, el espectáculo siga reúne tradición escocesa, música, precisión militar y artistas de distintas partes del mundo, con bandas de gaitas y tambores, danza, bandas militares y una impresionante puesta en escena, todo con el imponente Castillo de Edimburgo como telón de fondo.

This trip also turned out to be deeply personal. I discovered that my Walker ancestors came from Scotland, and I even managed to find our family crest.

We landed in Scotland and started our adventure in Edinburgh. Our first stop was the incredible Edinburgh Castle, a place steeped in centuries of history. It first began to take shape back in the 12th century, and walking through the Royal Palace, which underwent major renovations in 1615, felt like stepping back in time.

Aterrizamos en Escocia y comenzamos nuestra aventura en Edimburgo. Nuestra primera parada fue el impresionante Castillo de Edimburgo, un lugar lleno de historia. Traveling through Wales and Scotland.
Melissa and I landed in Wales last Saturday! We stayed in the capital city of Cardiff, where we enjoyed the local food and some great local b**r. We've also managed to get a couple of hikes in and visited a few castles including the famous Cardiff Castle.

Best day ever. TC and Dania had their civil wedding ceremony.
It was such a beautiful day! Having Alice officiate the ceremony made it even more special, and the entire day was filled with love and happiness. My heart is full as I officially welcome Dania to our family as my daughter-in-law. Bravo!
