The builder fully refused and said that we need to trust the process, that homes are built to code, and that they’d walk the property with us after we plopped down the deposit. We said no deal and walked. My gut tells me we absolutely made the right decision but I’m just looking for some reinforcement that we were being reasonable in wanting reassurance on getting the issues fixed before going under contract.

Guys I’m stumped! Trying to rebuild my deck and add some steps. How do I make the inside 45 work? I cut stringers and the middle one in the corner is the same size. But if I remove it there is nothing to support the steps. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

How do I get my corners tighter?
I'm fairly decent at trim, haven't done window casing in years though. I'm installing these in some apartments, so I don't quite need them perfect, but I would like to know how to get them tighter in the future. I know I could pre-assemble, but these places are a get in, get out kind of deal, so I don't have time for that, nor do I own a biscuit joiner…

Am I dumb, or is this not possible.
Putting a top rail on a fence I'm building, and i have 2 angled section cuts totaling about 90 degrees combined to make a turn (let's assume 90 degrees for ease of explanation). Either I worked too long in the cold yesterday and froze my brain and cpipdnt figure out how to use the saw correctly, or this cut just won't work. Please help.

Am I using the saw incorrectly? I felt dumb yesterday, and rather than wasting time today just to find out the same thing, I'm just going to ask people who know better.
