MY HUSBAND WENT TO A FRIEND'S WEDDING FOR THREE DAYS, LEAVING ME AND OUR KIDS $20 — HE FELL TO HIS KNEES WHEN HE RETURNED.

So, my husband and I had a huge fight exactly an hour before he was supposed to leave for three days. That Friday, he left work early because his friend invited him to a wedding (I still don't get why I wasn't invited, honestly).

My daughter's first birthday started out perfectly… until my in-laws arrived.

First, James (my FIL) and Diane (his wife) showed up an hour late, interrupting my toast to my baby girl. They made a scene, blaming us for not waiting, even though everyone else was on time. Apparently, Diane was late because she "had to get her hair done—at least one woman should look decent at this party." I let it slide.

SOMEONE CUT THE RIBBONS ON MY GRANDDAUGHTER'S POINTE SHOES SO SHE COULDN'T DANCE AGAIN AT THE WEDDING — AND I FOUND OUT WHO.

My grandchild, Scarlett, lost her dad, my eldest son, when she was only eight. He passed away in a car accident two years ago. God rest his soul. But even that tragedy didn't make her give up dancing.

Scarlett had been learning ballet since she was very young and wanted to become a professional dancer. When my middle son asked her to dance at his wedding, everyone was thrilled.

On the wedding day, she looked amazing, spinning in her tutu to beautiful music. The guests gave her a standing ovation. But just 30 minutes later, I found her in the garden crying her heart out.

"Granny, I won't be dancing again!” she sobbed.

"Why? Everyone loved it!" I said, confused. Then I saw why.

Her pointe shoes were on the ground—ribbons cut.

"Someone cut the ribbons, Granny! The shoes are ruined!" Scarlett said.

ENTITLED COUPLE TOOK MY PREMIUM SEAT ON THE PLANE — SO I TAUGHT THEM A LESSON AND TURNED IT INTO PROFIT.

I was comfortably settled in my aisle seat enjoying the extra legroom, when a couple rudely approached. The woman, exuding entitlement, demanded, "You need to switch seats with me. I messed up the booking and won't sit away from my husband."

I glanced at her ticket — row 12, middle seat, far from the premium seat I'd chosen. She scoffed at my hesitation and added dismissively, "It's just a seat. You don't need all that space anyway."

Her husband smirked, "Yeah, do the right thing. We need to sit together, and you don't really need to be up here, do you?"

Their arrogance was obvious, and they fully expected me to comply. Hiding my irritation, I handed over my ticket.

As I headed to row 12, a flight attendant intercepted me and whispered, "MA'AM, YOU REALIZE THIS WAS A SCAM, RIGHT? THEY TRICKED YOU OUT OF YOUR GOOD SEAT."

I smiled and replied, "ACTUALLY, I HAVE A TRICK UP MY SLEEVE." The flight attendant's eyes widened, but she quickly understood and stifled a laugh.

I had just been discharged from the hospital after giving birth to my twin girls, Ella and Sophie. My husband, Derek, was supposed to pick us up, But at the last minute, he called.
"Mom's really unwell. I need to take her to the hospital. I can't pick you up,” he said, sounding rushed.
Disappointed but trying to stay calm, I called a taxi.
When I got home, I froze. My suitcases and bags were dumped on the doorstep. I approached the door, calling, "Derek?" but there was no answer.

I was up before sunrise, already rushing to get to my second job. I've been slipping up on things lately, and it's starting to show. So, I'm halfway through my shift when my phone buzzes. It's my son. My heart drops — I totally forgot to leave him lunch money.

"Mom, there's no money for lunch," he says. He's so patient, almost like he's used to it. I start apologizing, holding back tears because it's not just lunch — I'd been missing a lot lately, barely keeping us afloat.

But then he surprises me. "It's okay, Mom. I'll check the cereal box where Dad hides it."

I freeze. Dad hides money? In the cereal box? I thank him and end the call, but my mind races.

As soon as my shift's over, I rush home. I dig through the cereal box, and there it is — an envelope stuffed with cash. Not just lunch money, but enough to solve most of our problems.

By dinner, I've made up my mind. I casually mention we need money for car repairs, watching his reaction. He sighs, saying, "We'll have to wait. We don't have the money right now." He says it so smoothly like he believes it.
