Hosted by creator and producer Erick Taylor Woodby, Our Black Gay Diaspora™ sits at the intersection of culture, identity, and global storytelling, featuring intimate conversations with Black LGBTQIA changemakers from across the African diaspora. Jones is a Morehouse College College alumnus, Columbia University University MFA graduate, and Lambda Literary fellow. His 2025 debut novel, “The Fantasies of Future Things,” centers around the lives of Black gay men and the gentrification of Atlanta during the 1996 Olympics.

Jones’ work explores the intersection of Black same-gender-loving identity, intimacy, and social issues. His writing has appeared in the anthologies Sojourner: Black Gay Voices in the Age of AIDS, Role Call: A Generational Anthology of Social and Political Black Literature & Art, and Black Love Letters. His field of expertise extends beyond literature into real estate.

At the Vegan Market this past April in Inglewood, California, my friends and I met Jackie of and Gracelamp Founder Francia Telesford.

Jackie makes great vegan sourdough breads, cookies, and other pastries. Francia founded Gracelamp in the “hopes to increase mental wellness in motherhood.” She also has nourishing vegan soaps and other products.

This Sunday, May 31st, the Annual Q***r Vegan Market returns to Three Weavers. It’ll be my second time attending. And as a longtime vegan, I am looking forward to discovering more great food, products, and community.
