An elderly man waits quietly in a long hospital line, clutching trembling medical files to his chest.

Suddenly—
A massive, aggressive man pushes past him, cutting directly to the front.

The elderly man speaks up, his voice fragile but firm.
“Excuse me, sir... I believe it’s my turn.”

The aggressive man sneers and violently shoves him backward.
The old man crashes hard onto the linoleum floor.
Gasps echo across the room.
Nobody moves.
Nobody intervenes.

Near the vending machines—
Biker Dan slowly stands.
Towering frame. Weathered black leather vest. Gray beard. Tattooed arms.
The aggressor smirks, looking him up and down.
“You got a problem, biker?”

A heavy, suffocating silence descends upon the hospital.
Biker Dan steps forward. Slowly.
Calm.
Terrifyingly calm.

Then—
BOOM.
A brutal punch slams directly into the aggressor’s gut.
The man instantly folds, wheezing as he stumbles backward into a row of plastic chairs.
CRASH.
The chairs clatter violently across the floor.

The aggressor roars, swinging wildly in a blind rage.
Biker Dan ducks with fluid grace.
He drives a crushing elbow across the man’s jaw.
THUD.
A spray of blood hits the polished floor.
Patients scream and scramble away.
The aggressor collapses, defeated, beside the reception desk.

Biker Dan grabs him by the hoodie and pulls him inches from his face.
His voice is a low, dangerous rumble:
“You don’t lay a finger on the elderly.”

He flings the man across the room like a discarded sack.
The entire hospital freezes.
Biker Dan calmly turns and offers a hand to the old man, helping him to his feet.

Just then—
Hospital security bursts into the room, batons drawn.
But one veteran nurse suddenly freezes, her eyes locked on the wolf emblem stitched onto the back of Dan’s vest.

She whispers, visibly shaken:
“Biker Dan...”...... continued

The atmosphere inside the dimly lit bedroom sank into a tense silence. The steady patter of rain against the windowpane only added to the gloomy aura of the night. Officer Kowalev and Melnikova were crouched down on the floor, sitting right next to the little girl who was perched anxiously near the edge of her bed. The girl was crying, tears streaming down her face as she tightly gripped her bunny pajamas, her voice trembling as she desperately pleaded for them to believe her. A few paces away, the mother stood near the doorway in her bathrobe, looking anxious and deeply embarrassed.

— “I am so sorry for wasting your time, Officers,” the mother said, her voice filled with embarrassment. “She watches too many cartoons and often imagines strange things. As you saw when you looked with your flashlights, it was completely empty under her bed.”

— “It’s no trouble, ma'am, our job is to ensure everyone's safety,” Melnikova replied softly to the mother, though her gaze remained fixed on the little girl's terrified eyes. “Children are sometimes much more perceptive than we adults think.”

Kowalev sighed gently, looking at the dark gap beneath the frame. He checked his watch; their patrol shift was coming to an end, and part of him was willing to bet this was just a false alarm born from a five-year-old’s fear of the dark.

— “Melnikova, let's just double-check the building's security app on the tablet,” Kowalev said, pulling out his portable device to review the hallway feed from fifteen minutes before the girl ran out. “We need to be absolutely sure before we hand over the shift.”

Melnikova pulled up the interface, her fingers moving quickly across the screen to rewind the footage from the camera positioned right at the corner of the hallway leading straight to the bedroom door.

At first, the footage was completely normal. The hallway outside was empty, the dim yellow light casting long shadows on the floor. Everything was so quiet that the mother began to breathe a sigh of relief, reaching out to comfort her daughter.

But then, the screen flickered slightly.

Melnikova narrowed her eyes, hitting the pause button and then rewinding it second by second. Her face suddenly changed, the polite smile freezing on her lips. Kowalev, who had been leaning over her shoulder, unconsciously straightened up when he saw his partner's expression. He stared intensely at the monitor.

From the dark corner of the... (continued)

The rain began to pour down, splashing against the veteran's cold prosthetic leg. The teenagers, mistaking his silence for weakness, moved closer, their shadows encircling him like vultures.

"Hey, we're talking to you, Destroyer," the leader sneered, snapping his fingers in front of the old man. "What's wrong? Did you lose an ear?"

The old man didn't flinch. His deep, time-worn eyes stared intently at the gray horizon. He had survived things that, if the teenagers had cried out to their mothers, would have hurt him, but today, their disrespect hurt him more than any old wound.

"Look, he's clenching his fists," the second teenager scoffed, pointing at the veteran's white knuckles. "What are you going to do, old man? Dance with us?" The passersby continued to turn away, pulling their umbrellas lower, trying to escape the tension. The teenagers burst into laughter, convinced they were completely unharmed. But they didn't know they were about to regret what they had done... (continued)

The heavy station doors swung open as a trembling three-year-old walked in, clutching her father’s hand and sobbing that she was ready to go to prison for the rest of her life

The father approached the front desk, looking both exhausted and deeply embarrassed.

— “Excuse me, Officer,” the father began, clearing his throat. “I know this sounds ridiculous, but our daughter has been inconsolable for two days. She insists she’s a criminal and won't stop crying until she turns herself in to a 'real' policeman.”

Sergeant Miller, a veteran with twenty years on the force, looked down over his glasses. He saw the girl’s trembling lips and decided to play along. He stepped out from behind the desk and knelt so he was at eye level with her.

The Interrogation
— “Alright then,” Miller said with a grave expression. “I’m Sergeant Miller. I hear you have something to report. Do you know how serious it is to come to the station?”

The girl gave a frantic, tiny nod. A stray tear rolled down her cheek.
— “Am I going to jail for a hundred years?” she whispered, her voice shaking.

— “Well,” Miller replied, crossing his arms. “That depends on the crime. Why don’t you tell me exactly what happened?”

The station grew quiet. Even the officers in the back stopped typing to listen. The little girl took a deep breath, squeezed her eyes shut, and let out a sob before blurting out the "crime" that had been weighing on her soul..........continue
