One less thing to think about before school starts. 🤍

I’m trying to get ahead before life gets busy again, so this month’s Thrive Market order was all about restocking our favorite snacks.

Prettiest loaf I’ve ever made. 🥹🌼

I’m still very new to sourdough making and definitely still exploring, but after lots of research, I kind of knew what to expect. 😅 I knew the flowers wouldn’t stay this vibrant after baking—they’ll toast and lose a lot of their color—but it was nice to pause and appreciate this beauty before it went into the oven. 🥹

This is a turmeric sourdough decorated with nasturtium flowers from my Lettuce Grow | Hydroponic Farmstand tower garden (I have so many and didn’t know what to do with them 😂) and a few holy basil leaves.

The way I just wanted to preserve this instead of baking it. 😂

Camp days call for lunches that can keep up. ☀️⛺️

With back-to-back activities today, lunch and snacks are coming along for the ride with my 11-year-old. 🤍

I packed everything in the new Bentgo Stainless Steel Lunch Box.

• grilled cheese sourdough sandwhich
• kiwi & berries

• for snack: yogurt with honey + granola

Turns out having a tiny produce aisle in the backyard comes in handy. 🌱😅

The recent Cyclospora-related produce recalls definitely had me appreciating our little harvest a bit more.

This summer, we’ve been lucky enough to harvest lettuce, green beans, cucumbers, and some of our favorite herbs like mint, basil, chives, and green onions. Our tomatoes, mini pumpkins and watermelons are still growing, and I’m crossing my fingers they actually bear fruit! 🤞🎃🍉 Wish me luck!

Our summer so far 🌤️

🌱 started growing again with our LettuceGrow outdoor farmstand (missed having fresh greens right outside!)
🏕️ most days have been filled with camps, activities, and running around
🍰 DIY dessert for our 4th of July dinner
🇺🇸 our 4th of July dinner spread
🥖 my happy, healthy 3rd “daughter” — my sourdough starter Ophelia 😂
🌻 my best sourdough loaf so far: seeded sourdough with flax, chia, and pumpkin seeds

2-hour school pickup gap + a hungry middle-schooler = snack emergency 😂🙌🏻

and not every day is an eat-out day… so I needed something fast, filling and something I know she will not say no to 🍕✨

Tortilla pizza pockets using the CRIMPiT Tortilla Sealer = saved the day again 😅
(this has been in our kitchen rotation for a while and I honestly keep forgetting to share it!)
