Case Study House #22, The Stahl House, is one of the most iconic homes in Los Angeles and the world. The fact that it was even built in the first place is as much of a marvel as the home itself.

My dad passed away nine years ago today. Simply put, he was my hero. I realize how lucky I am to have a father that supported me and took me everywhere in L.A. from Dodger Stadium to Venice to his boxing gym on 108th & Broadway.

And whether he was with Mayor Tom Bradley, DR. SHAQUILLE O'NEAL Ed.D., Yasiel Puig, Bob Dylan, Muhammad Ali, John Madden, Jesse Jackson, Larry Johnson, or Marvin Hagler, he always made sure that I knew I was loved and he was proud of me.

Pops - I miss you every day and try to honor your legacy. Thanks for instilling me with L.A. love and pride. Hope you’re having fun up therel I love you and I miss you🙏

So what happened?

Before Anaheim, there was Burbank. As Disneyland turns 70, here’s something most fans don’t know…
Walt Disney’s first dream for the park wasn’t along the 5 Freeway in Orange County — it was right across the street from the Burbank studio. The original plan? A modest 8-acre park with a boat ride, pony farm, and a small Main Street right next to the animation building. But the city said no. The space was too small. And Walt’s imagination? Too big. So he bought orange groves in Anaheim… and the rest is magic. 🍊🏰
