On 8/8/26, I went to one of the Largest Halloween/ Haunt called Midsummer Scream . This was my 4th year in a row attending the event, but this year was on a budget and only did one day.
I knew coming in on that day that I couldn’t do everything that I wanted to do, so I went with the flow, but with a very small plan.
Here is what I recommend doing when doing one day on a three day convention:
✏️ Have maybe three things at most of what you want to do during the one day you are at the convention. Anything more you did is a plus to the trip
🛍️ Shop for the items that you want right away from your favorite vendor first thing during opening because it will sell out later on the day
🚗 Get to the convention center at least 2-3 hour early to get into the convention went open. It will get very crowded trying to go into the convention
👿 If you are the maze type of person, get in line when opening because maze times can get between 30 minutes to one hour wait times
💰Have a budget coming in to prevent over spending. Pro tip: do bring some cash to shop.
😌 Bring patience because a lot of people are attending this event
Next year will be different and probably will do the full 3 day weekend of Midsummer Scream with the Gold Bat pass. I hope these tips will help you out for this convention.
