⭐️ Happy 20th Anniversary! Wolfmother self-titled debut album was recorded at Sound City in 2005. On one of the days they were recording Dave Grohl came by unexpectedly, to check them out. He said, “I really like these guys”. He was right of course! The album is certified 5x Platinum in their home country of Australia and certified Gold here in the US, Canada, Germany, and the UK.

Slipknot released “Left Behind” on October 29, 2001, it was the first single from their “Iowa” album. It was originally titled “Lust Disease”, a old song they had been working on but decided to rework it and include on this album.

Corey Taylor has explained that the lyrics to “Left Behind” were inspired by a period during which he was homeless, living under a bridge in his hometown of Des Moines, Iowa. Speaking to VH1, he reminisced that “’Left Behind’ is a song about a time of my life that was really hard – I was homeless ... it’s funny how many people you meet when you’re homeless ... you find out so much about them, and you rely on them so much, and then when things start happening for you, those faces disappear and they’re gone,” concluding that the song is “about leaving behind the lives that make up your past.”

🖤 Just in-time for Halloween! Ozzy Osbourne’s "Miracle Man" was released on October 24, 1988. It was the first single released from his "No Rest for the Wicked" album. "Miracle Man" was a pointed barb aimed at televangelist Jimmy Swaggart who had long been critical of Osbourne's music and live performances, before he himself was involved in a 1988 prostitution scandal.
