🎶 Here’s a clip filmed at Sound City for the Jenny Lewis’s album “Acid Tongue”. It reached No. 24 on the Billboard 200.

This track “Carpetbaggers” featured Jenny Lewis & Elvis Costello, on lead vocals, Blake Mills on electric guitar, and Zooey Deschanel on background vocals.

Jenny said in an interview; It wasn’t really a studio record, but more of a live record in some ways. It was about getting the band together and creating an atmosphere that lent itself to good chemistry between the band members and trying to capture as much of the record live as we could.”

Elvis Costello recorded his album “Momofuku” during the same time window, releasing his album first on April 22, 2008, and Jenny’s album “Acid Tongue” was released on September 23, 2008.

- Recording sessions: December 2007-March 2008
