AITA for moving our second car away from the house after my Wife refused to pay for it?

My Wife and I have always only had 1 car until recently. We have a toddler, so she's been mostly a SAH parent to save on childcare cost until preschool, just working a couple times a week here and there for spending money. She brings in around $1,000 a month doing this. I cover all the bills, and I've gotten a few raises and promotions over the past couple years, but not enough to handle 2 car payments.

My Wife has been wanting a car to get around while I'm at work; shopping, events for our kid during the day, etc. I did the math, and told her we can only get a second car if she helps pay for some of it, otherwise I can't afford to pay for it on my own. We were already leasing a newer SUV at the time that she loved and I didn't really care for, so we agreed that she'd cover a $400 monthly payment and I'd cover insurance, gas, maintenance, etc. She was fine with the plan and agreed.

I spent some weeks looking around, then went and bought a car I liked. Now we have two vehicles. I didn't have to pay for the first 60 days on the new car, so let my Wife "save up money" while I continued paying for the SUV payments. 60 days later, Wife tells me she only has $300 of the $400 and is upset that I expect her to pay for the car she agreed to pay for. I just have her send the $300, cover the difference, and remind her that I can't afford two cars, so it's important she budgets the money she...

AITA for telling my wife NOT to give our daughter more money for her grades?

I (45M), have 2 kids, Oliver (16M) and Jane (18F). We've had a continuous rule in place since Jane was 15, that we'll give money for GCSE and A-Level grades. £50 per GCSE A or above, and £200 per A Level A or above. We are lucky to be privileged in that we can afford this, although Oliver's this year was a little insane. He ended up with 6 9s (high A*), 4 8s (also A*) and an additional A in an extra course. Jane got an A and an A*, which was a surprise to us. All in all though, this was the best possible way for my kids to make my pockets hurt.

I gave Oliver his 550 and Jane her 400. Fast Forward a few weeks, Oliver is upset. I didn't really expect him to be, given all the happy stuff that has been happening lately, and I guessed it might have been school starting.

Turns out my wife told Jane she'd give her extra, as it wasn't fair for Oliver to get more than her. I said that that would be unfair to Oliver, if Jane was getting money from both parents and he only got something from me. Jane said I only care because she didn't get as good grades as her brother. I tried to explain, but no 2 out of 3 of my family members are pi**ed at me.

AITA for refusing to switch seats on a plane with a couple who wanted to sit together?

I (32F) recently flew for a work trip, and I specifically paid extra to book a window seat because I like to have a little privacy and enjoy looking out during the flight. Once I got settled in, a couple came up to me and asked if I would switch seats with one of them so they could sit together. The seat they wanted to switch me to was a middle seat further back, which I didn’t want. I politely declined, explaining that I paid extra for my window seat. They seemed annoyed, saying it wouldn’t be a big deal since the flight wasn’t too long, and accused me of being inconsiderate for not helping them out. Later, the person sitting next to me suggested that I could’ve just switched to make it easier for them, and now I’m feeling a bit guilty. I paid for the seat I wanted, but maybe I was being too rigid? AITA for refusing to switch seats with the couple?

AITA for telling my husbands friend that he was selfish and hurting his wife?

Obligatory throwaway

My (32F) husband (36M), has a high school friend (36M). Let’s call him John. John is a typical jock. Athletic, good looking, popular with girls. But I’ve been around enough to see and hear him being questionable towards women.

To the story: we were in a group of friends, and I was introducing them to my new baby (0F). Important info: I had a miserable pregnancy. The topic of having kids came up, and John started saying how him and his fiancee (32F) would be the next.

More important information: his fiancee, Janet, is an amazing lady. Kind, smart, gentle. Recently, she has been through a lot: lost her dad and her health has been terrible. Not going to say what, but she has a disease that causes headaches, weakness, dizzy spells, fainting, extreme fatigue. She has become more and more emotionally and physically dependent on him. On top of that she (and I) come from another country. It means her family and support system are not here.

Back to the situation: I asked her if they planned to have kids after the wedding, that is in 2 years. I thought that because it gives her time to recover. He doesn’t let her answer and say they agreed they would only get married after having kids. I am surprised for two reasons: she always said she wanted kids after marriage and her health is not good. She doesn’t say anything, but looks sad.

I argue that it doesn’t seem like a good plan, and that a pregnancy now could put her health at risk. He said her “fertility window is almost closing” and that is now or never....

AITA for refusing to be my sister's maid of honor after what she did at my wedding?

My sister (30F) and I (28F) have always had a rocky relationship. When I got married two years ago, I asked her to be my maid of honor. I thought it could bring us closer. However, she made the whole process a nightmare—complaining about the dress, skipping out on planning, and even showing up late on the wedding day.

The worst part? During her speech, she made a "joke" about how she was surprised I found someone who could "put up with me." It was humiliating, and I was on the verge of tears in front of everyone.

Now, she's getting married and just asked me to be her maid of honor. I said no. I told her I couldn't do it after what happened at my wedding. She blew up at me, saying I’m being petty and holding a grudge.

My parents think I should just let it go for the sake of family peace, but I can’t help feeling hurt. AITA?

AITA for calling my uncle an incel?

My uncle Robby was divorced about 10 years ago. My family doesn’t know but I kept in touch with my ex aunt Sarah. She’s received her MBA and has a gucci life without uncle Robby. All he has done is moved in with my grandma and cried for the last 10 years about not being in a relationship. All family events are filled with his b__lsh*t.

I’m in college and I visited my parents this weekend and Robby was there. With his self pity hating on me because I’m a college freshman. He’s bitching about what is wrong with women today. I’m 18 and Robby is 50 and acts like he should be dating women in their 20’s. As I get closer to 20 it’s just gross and pathetic.

Robby goes off about how he wants a a stay at home wife and someone to take care of him and be a helper. I asked him, what home? Because he lives with my grandma and has since his divorce. He said girls my age are gold diggers talking to my younger 16 year old brother and me like we are his age and would be dating someone our age.

I asked him again what gold and house are these women after and how are you going to provide for a stay at home wife if you don’t have gold or a home or even a nice car since he was at our house having my dad and brother help him with his car?

I told him my brother and I had nicer cars than him and we only work part-time. My brother started laughing because he has said the same s__t...
