✨ I’m honored to share something truly powerful. ✨

On July 30, 2025, Solano State Prison held a workshop event titled “I SEE HER”, created by inmates with the guidance of Adrienna Turner, Senior Librarian at Solano, after reading my book HURT PEOPLE HIGHWAY.

The mission of I SEE HER is simple but profound: to inspire men inside the facility to be better men for the women in their lives.

📸 The photos you see here were taken during the event. One of them, titled “cofacilitators”, features the participants who helped establish and lead the group alongside their peers. These men have stepped into leadership roles within the facility and within this program.

This is more than just a workshop—it’s a movement of reflection, accountability, and change.

I’m deeply grateful to CDCR for allowing me to share these images, and to Ms. Turner for her dedication to making this possible.
