File 004: What the Nereus-7 drone found in the Mariana Trench🌊

In 2012, a classified drone known as the Nereus-7 was deployed into the Challenger Deep—the lowest point of the Mariana Trench. At 36,000 feet, where the pressure crushes titanium, the drone's sonar detected a colossal, moving biological mass. Before the feed was permanently lost, the drone's emergency flash fired into the pitch-black water. It didn't capture the ocean floor.
