Plug Research Records

Plug Research Records The Music! Based in Los Angeles, CA, Plug Research Music was founded in 1994 as a way to release 12” singles.

The label quickly grew away from being a single driven label and became home to an impressive collection of musicians that were pushing the boundaries of sound. Some of the early releases included classic releases by Dntel, Daedelus, the debut release for Flying Lotus, Mia Doi Todd and Milosh to name a few. Eighteen years later, the label is still going strong with a roster consisting of established artists like Quadron, Bilal (who garnered the label it's first Grammy nomination), Exile, Robin Hannibal, and Boom Clap Bachelors. The label also has a slew of new artists like Sonnymoon, Lee Bannon, Elephant & Castle, Astrobal, Szjerdene and Hawthorne Headhunters who will continue the legacy of the label for years to come.

Adult Karate - Under The Moon

The last decade of most peoples’ life has been difficult and often painful. It got to the point where I had serious questions about the nature of our reality. Why does pain exist at all? Why does life seem to be a purposely confusing series of events until we die? Well, the only answer I could come up with is that our pain (and pleasure) is being harnessed by higher beings, similar to how humans use cattle or chicken as food sources (or how we use pets as sources of emotional support). Turns out this mirrors a popular conspiracy called “Prison Planet” theory. In the case of the song, the moon is the watchtower for this “prison.” It’s an ecstatic quest for answers in this purposely confusing world.
