Something we probably haven’t mentioned yet is that David Colagiovanni beautifully mixed and mastered In the Ferns. Seriously the mastering for the vinyl LP is excellent🌹

Gotta Groove in Cleveland did a fantastic job pressing the vinyl👍Nice hefty platters with smooth edges, very nice

Much more to come but we just wanted to say happy release day to Athens OH’s best band The Peel (!) and thank you everyone for listening to and buying the record🪷It’s a great one and we’re very proud of it

Ohio-based trio The Peel weave the traditional with the experimental for songs that reflect the dissonance of modern life with our natural surroundings. We are overjoyed and grateful on this spring day to welcome an amazing band, The Peel, to the Sun Cru fam!!!🪷✨

A trio formed in Athens, Ohio, in 2021, are David Colagiovanni (guitar), Adam Fuller (banjo), and Lucy Schwallie (fiddle). Their music is an exquiste tapestry of styles — American primitive, drone, and classical, to name a few. It’s a music that is spirited, fresh, and transcendent. We look forward to presenting The Peel’s new album, In the Ferns, on vinyl this August!✨More to come on that!

In the meantime, we highly recommend The Peel’s previous records, Bear Wallow Hollow and Mt. Lookout, which are both thrilling, atmospheric, and gorgeous albums 🎼
