I would love some ideas for updating this room, especially the fireplace mantel. The room has a cozy feel, but I’m struggling with how to style everything so it looks more intentional and pulled together. The mantel is particularly challenging because it’s so long, and no matter how I arrange the artwork, greenery, candles, and accessories, it never seems to look quite right.

I’d love suggestions for how to decorate the mantel so it feels balanced and proportional without looking cluttered or leaving awkward empty spaces. I’m also open to ideas for the rest of the room—whether that means changing the arrangement, adding or removing accessories, updating the wall color, or simply making a few styling changes to bring everything together.

Hello everyone! I’d love some ideas and inspiration for my entryway. There are several beautiful architectural details here, including the stained-glass transom and sidelights, tall ceilings, detailed white trim, hardwood floors, and the large opening into the adjoining room. I really want to make the space feel warm, welcoming, and finished while still allowing those original details to shine.

I’m wondering what you would do with the walls, lighting, console area, artwork, accessories, and overall styling. I’d love ideas that add personality without making the entryway feel cluttered or taking away from the beautiful stained glass and architectural character.

I desperately need some help with this bathroom because the layout is driving me crazy! It’s a small space with an awkward sloped ceiling, and I’m struggling to figure out how to make it feel more functional, attractive, and intentional.

The toilet, vanity, flooring, and basic layout are what I’m working with, but everything feels a little cramped and disconnected right now. I’d love ideas for how to improve the overall look without making the room feel even smaller. I’m especially interested in suggestions for the wall color, storage, vanity area, lighting, accessories, and how to make better use of that awkward wall and ceiling space.

I could really use some advice on what to do with this room! We built this addition to our home about 15 years ago, and honestly, it has never been redecorated. I’ve reached the point where I just can’t live with all the brown and orange tones anymore. Between the stone fireplace, the floors, the wall color, and the existing furniture, the room feels much darker and heavier than I’d like.

I’m ready for a completely different direction and would love to create a light, airy, warm, and more updated space. I’m even willing to remove the stone fireplace and start over if that’s what it takes, although I’m wondering if there might be a way to transform it instead. One idea I’ve been considering is a German schmear on the stone with a much lighter grout color to soften all of the brown and orange while still keeping some of the character and texture of the fireplace.

I’m also wondering about bringing in more of a light white-oak look to coordinate with the existing floors, mantel, and possibly the wood beams. For the walls, I’m thinking about a soft, creamy color rather than stark white—something that would make all of the natural light feel even brighter without making the room feel cold.

The furniture will eventually be replaced as well, so I’m not necessarily trying to design around what’s currently here. I’m really looking for ideas for the overall direction and would love to hear what you would do with this space if it were yours.

Would you lighten the stone, change the wall color, embrace the wood tones, or completely start over with the fireplace? I’m open to ideas and would especially appreciate suggestions for creating that light and airy feeling while still keeping the room warm and inviting.

My kitchen is definitely ready for an update, and I’d love some fresh ideas! The cabinets are staying, along with the existing flooring in its gray, blue, and cream tones, the cream backsplash, and the black appliances. I’m not looking to replace those elements, so I’m hoping to find a way to work with what I already have and create a more updated, cohesive look.

I personally prefer cooler tones, and I’d love suggestions for paint colors, countertops, hardware, lighting, or other changes that would complement the existing cabinets and tie everything together. I’m open to ideas that could make the kitchen feel brighter, fresher, and more current without fighting with the flooring or backsplash.

Can someone please help me find an LVP flooring that would work beautifully in this room? The cabinets are staying, so I’m trying to find a flooring color and style that complements the existing wood cabinetry, countertops, backsplash, island, and overall warm farmhouse feel without making the room look too busy or overly orange.

I’m really struggling to narrow down the right flooring because there are already so many different wood tones and textures happening in the space. I’d love something that feels cohesive, updated, and timeless while still working with the cabinets I already have.

This is my kitchen, and we’re getting ready to make a few changes. We plan to repaint the cabinets and replace the countertops, so I’d really like to rethink one particular area before we move forward.

I’m considering removing the entire lower cabinet section next to the refrigerator where the coffee pot currently sits, while keeping the upper cabinets directly above it. The main reason for removing this cabinet is to eliminate the unused mini refrigerator that is currently taking up space there. Since we don’t really use the mini fridge, I’d rather make that area more functional and intentional.

What I’m struggling with is figuring out what to put in that space instead. I would still like to have a dedicated coffee area, but I want it to look attractive and feel like it was designed as part of the kitchen rather than simply placing a coffee maker on an empty counter.

What would you do with this space? Would you create a small coffee station, add a piece of furniture or open shelving, build in some type of coffee bar, or use the area for something completely different? I’d love ideas that would work with the existing upper cabinets and also coordinate beautifully once the cabinets are repainted and the countertops are replaced.

I’m trying to make the change both practical and visually appealing, so I’d really appreciate any creative suggestions before we start the renovation. Thank you!

What color would you paint these cabinets? I’m ready for a change and really want to brighten up this kitchen while still keeping it warm and inviting. The current wood cabinets are beautiful, but there is a lot of wood throughout the space, and I’m wondering if painting them would help the kitchen feel lighter, fresher, and more open.

I’d love some ideas for making this laundry closet feel more organized, functional, and aesthetically appealing without making it look overly crowded. The washer and dryer obviously need to stay where they are, but I’d like to make better use of the space above and around them. I’m especially interested in ideas for the wire shelf, storage, laundry supplies, and ways to make everything look neat and intentional while still being practical.

I think I’m finally happy with how this space has come together. I wanted the built-in to feel warm, personal, and collected, while still allowing the beautiful woodwork to be the star of the room. I love how the family photos, artwork, greenery, lamps, pumpkins, books, and special pieces give it character without completely overwhelming the shelves. The folded flag is especially meaningful and adds such a personal touch to the display.

That said, I know I’ve been looking at this for so long that I may be missing something another set of eyes would notice. I’m always open to suggestions, whether it’s rearranging a few pieces, adding something, or simply moving things around to make the display feel a little more balanced.

I think I’m happy with it for now, but I’ll always welcome your ideas and suggestions. Thank you so much for taking the time to look and share your thoughts!
