So many of you are asking about painting your honey oak cabinetry. It’s a big step. Here’s the process that happened when I totally reimagined my kitchen four years ago. Pulling the trigger to go from honey oak to navy blue was so dang scary, but I love it! I haven’t regretted it for one day.

If anyone wants to paint their kitchen cabinets but the thought is overwhelming, consider this.
I had high quality, albeit oak cabinets in the house I bought. Instead of spending hours painting the doors, I ordered new, prepainted doors online, had them delivered and took them to the paint store and had the color matched, and painted the frames to match.
The finish is gorgeous - nothing I could possibly achieve even with a sprayer. And I had the new doors drilled to reuse my existing soft close hinges. It was basically plug and play.
I framed out the sides of the cabinets with moldings prior to painting. New extended quartz countertops, new backsplash, and brass hardware gave me an entirely new kitchen. 
You can do it! 😊

Cost was under $2K including tax and delivery.
Best thing I did for my sanity! 🤣
