I turn 34 today and I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate my birthday. 💫

I healed a part of my inner niña. 🫂 Many of us have been living in survival for so long that we don’t realize most aspects of our lives become transactional. We only call each other when we need each other. We only allow ourselves to stop working if it’s an emergency. Responsibilities always come first.

I’m working really hard to create balance in my life. To make space for the moments of pure connection. And in doing so, I’m teaching my parents to do the same. My mom had never experienced a concert for her own joy.

She told me over and over during the concert how much fun she was having and that it all felt so new. Hours before, I helped dress her, my sister did her makeup, and then we were off on our girl date. We sang our hearts out during the drive, we talked about life, and we got to disconnect together from all the responsibilities — if only for a few hours.

But these are the moments I longed for and frankly why I work so hard. This was a good reminder that these moments have to be prioritized and they have to be intentionally chosen by us. Connection takes intentionality and it makes everything else worth it.

Thank you The Kia Forum and Sin Bandera for inviting my mami and I to your show ✨🫶🏽

And next year, I would love to actually help create that.

I want to host a Latina creator and founder dinner around Create & Cultivate where we can sit down, meet each other, share resources, and build relationships before walking into this massive conference together.

Because if there’s one thing this weekend reminded me of, it’s that the room matters.

And what you do with the room matters even more.

So was Create & Cultivate worth it?

For me, absolutely.

And I already know I want to be back next year, with even more Latinas beside me.

It’s time amiga, it’s your turn to bet on yourself. ✨🧚🏽‍♀️🐆

This is my first long-form confessional YouTube video. 🥹

The OGs know that once upon a time, I had a podcast. Inner reflections about eldest daughter lore, relationships, career paths, and philosophical beliefs.

This is a way to reclaim that side of me as I venture into a new chapter and I’m taking you along with me for the journey.

I want to know what you’re up to too! How are you reclaiming your life’s meaning and direction?

I’m starting with reconnecting with the artist in me. ✨

Also, can we just bring back YouTube confessionals! I miss the early 2000s content when it was just a baddie and her camera.

Things have been changing and moving really fast lately. We are welcoming the change at Eclectix™️ | Influencer Management , letting our creators, the community, and God guide us toward where we can create the most impact.

We hit two years last month, naturally I sat down to do an audit of the company, our trajectory, our financial ledger, and all that cool business stuff 😅). To my surprise, in less than two years, we secured $500K in brand deal revenue across 10 active creators. It surprised me because from a business standpoint, we did not choose the easiest demographic to help monetize. Latinx creators are still severely underpaid and overlooked.

I want to make one thing VERY clear, our creators are not underpaid because they lack skill or talent. And yes, business acumen tremendously impacts how much you can make. But it’s also NOT because there is no money out there or because the economy is “bad.” There is no question the economy is suffering and our communities are disproportionately feeling the effects. But believe me when I say, there is money out there. Brands increased their Q4 marketing budgets by 30% this year! In this economy!

However, it’s important to highlight that marketing budgets are influenced by socioeconomic patterns and the zeitgeist. With Latino communities under attack, it’s a natural progression that we would see less economic investment into our creators, brands, and communities.

Let’s be very clear though! This is the time to pay attention to who IS investing in us. Platforms like SomosReyna aren’t only partnering with creators, they are giving them to tools to develop IP. The kind of opportunity that can take you from being on someone’s phone to being on TV, on stages, and more importantly, at cap tables.

All to say, don’t give up. Show up, refine your approach, make connections, pitch. And it do it all over again. All it takes is one yes to change the entire trajectory of your life. It may not happen overnight but “it” eventually happens.

If you’re already building something and need a team who shares your big vision and unshakable values, you know where to find us.

For all my girlies who are smart as hell but fear being in the spotlight, this one is for you. We’ve always been talented, often the smartest in the room but rarely the ones taking up space.

It’s our turn to step into the spotlight. And it’s definitely time to put ourselves first.

So many of us end up in positions of proximity to the spotlight but never full sharing our story for no other reason than we fear visibility. Maybe it’s rejection sensitivity. Maybe it’s a dysregulated nervous system. I don’t have all the answers yet, but I’m sure as hell about to go get them and I’m taking you with me.

Follow me if you want to come along for the journey and if you’re ready to figure this out together ✨
