We carefully cleared away the compacted dirt and dry twigs trapped deep inside this heavy, calloused pad. To finish the restoration, a soothing blue hydration jelly was massaged across the clean grooves to deeply condition and protect the tough skin.

We noticed some dangerously sharp wood splinters buried deep under a thick crust of dry clay. After carefully clearing away the mud, we used heavy pliers to gently extract the largest pieces and applied a soothing cream so they can finally heal comfortably.

This little hedgehog was found battling a severe tick infestation. Parasite burdens this heavy can quickly cause anemia and drain the energy from such small, vulnerable creatures.
