βCambodia Needs Peace, Not War.β
βThailand invades Cambodia.β
βThailand opens fire on Cambodia first.β
βThailand must stop attacking and killing Cambodian civilians.β
Thailand attacked multiple areas inside Cambodia on 8 December 2025 along the CambodiaβThailand border, using F-16 fighter jets to strike Cambodian territory. Cambodia remained silent for 24 hours out of respect for the ceasefire agreement signed in Malaysia.
On the following day, 9 December 2025, Cambodia decided to fire back to defend its people and its land. This response was solely for national defense and to protect Cambodian citizens after Thai soldiers had already entered Cambodian territory.
Had Thailand not initiated the attack, Cambodia would not have taken any military action. Thailand violated the ceasefire agreement signed in Malaysia. Thai soldiers killed 11 Cambodian civilians, including an infant, and injured many others. They also destroyed civilian homes in Banteay Meanchey, Pursat, and Oddar Meanchey provinces.
Cambodia seeks only peace and the protection of its sovereignty. Cambodia did not start this conflict and has not invaded Thailand. There is no logical reason for Cambodia to initiate an attack against Thailand for the following reasons:
1-Cambodia has suffered greatly from war in the past and clearly understands the hardships and devastating consequences that war brings.
2-Cambodia is a developing country with far weaker military capabilities compared to Thailand.
3-It is unheard of for a small nation to attack a country with a stronger economy and more advanced weaponry.
4-Cambodia has no benefit or intention in attacking Thailand, nor does it seek anything from Thailand. In contrast, Thailand has long attempted to claim Cambodiaβs heritage sites and territories, including the Preah Vihear Temple, Ta Moan Thom Temple, Ta Moan Toch Temple, Ta Krabei Temple, Phnom Trop, and four Cambodian provinces: Siem Reap, Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, and Pursat.
If you want to know who initiated this conflict, you can refer to the public statements made by the Prime Ministers of both Thailand and Cambodia on Facebook. The Thai Prime Minister stated that he had authorized Thai soldiers to advance into Cambodia, while the Cambodian Prime Minister stated that Cambodia must protect its citizens and its sovereignty.
Thailand claims to love peace, yet it is the one violating the ceasefire agreement.
What is the truth behind this?
Who truly loves peace and respects the ceasefire agreement?
I would like to call upon the United Nations, UNESCO, the International Criminal Court, and especially President Donald Trump to urge Thailand to immediately stop its aggression against Cambodia.
