"Hey, human moms and dads, here’s what happens to my paws when you take me out in the scorching sun ☀️, and the pavement is too hot! I sweat through my paws, and in this heat, I can’t cool down because my paws are burning. Missing my walk won’t hurt me—please let me relax indoors and take me out when the sun has gone down" 🐾

If you see someone walking their dog on hot pavement, kindly ask them to take off their shoes for the rest of the walk home. Maybe then they’ll understand how painful it can be.

In recognition of those kind souls that feed and take care of the ferals and homeless cats.

They never posted about it.
They never asked for recognition.
But every single day—rain, snow, or exhaustion—they showed up. 🖤
And the cats knew. 🐾
They waited.
Because some souls don’t rescue for glory… they do it because it’s who they are. 🐈‍⬛
This piece is for the quiet feeders, the invisible caregivers, the ones who never stopped showing up. 🥣
The world may never see them. But the cats always do.

At our rescue, this is something we hold sacred. Some of the dogs who come to us have been through more than we can imagine — but we make it our mission to ensure they know kindness, safety, and connection, no matter how long they’re with us.

To the dogs we couldn’t save in time… we see you, we remember you, and we love you still.

To those still waiting for their forever homes — we won’t stop fighting for you.

And to everyone who’s ever given an old soul a second chance, or held a paw as a dog took their final breath… thank you. You made sure they were never alone.

They all deserve to be loved. Until their last breath — and beyond.”
