We have reached a major milestone—50 episodes of the Coop! Last month, we celebrated this achievement with the Hilliard Museum, and we are now taking a moment to look back on the incredible stories, music, food, and culture we have covered since Episode 1.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who has been involved and shared their time to help make this monthly offering so special. To keep the celebration going, we will be posting highlights from past episodes over the next few weeks to show new followers what the Coop is all about.

Join today at the link in the bio for access to all fifty episodes and the next fifty too!

Gold repress of the Smithsonian Folkways 7” (45rpm) — very limited supply.

“Zydeco Sont Pas Salés” began as a song of survival in rural Louisiana before becoming Clifton Chenier’s signature and the foundation of an entire musical tradition.

Now, sixty years later, The Rolling Stones pay tribute with a French-language recording featuring Steve Riley, paired with a 1965 Clifton Chenier version from his sessions with Chris Strachwitz.

This limited-edition 7”, signed by the producers, brings two interpretations of one enduring classic together on a single record.

Available now at valcourrecords.com — while this small run lasts.
