💍❤️ The same wedding set, worn with love for nearly 60 years.

I absolutely love seeing everyone’s stunning rings and gorgeous diamonds, but I’ll always be obsessed with my sweet Grammy’s wedding set. 🥹✨

She wore these rings every day from 1960 until she passed away in 2012—a symbol of her love story for more than 50 years. ❤️

When I got married in 2017, I was given the incredible honor of continuing that story and wearing the same set. 💍🤍 For the past 9 years, these rings have been a daily reminder of her, the life she built, and the love she shared.

No matter how many beautiful rings I see, this set will always be my favorite. The history, the memories, and the connection to my Grammy make it absolutely priceless. 🥹❤️✨

✨ Non-traditional... or am I kidding myself? 💍

My partner and I got married this past spring, and I always knew I wanted a wedding ring set that felt a little less traditional than the classic solitaire engagement ring look (though I do own one of those too!).

I thought I had landed on something a bit more unique and "me"—a 14k gold hammered cigar band paired with a 14k gold diamond band featuring tiny bezel-set round stones that have a bubbly appearance. ✨

Recently, someone told me my rings aren't unusual at all and actually look pretty mainstream. That got me wondering... maybe I've been seeing them differently than everyone else? 😅

So, internet, I'd love your thoughts:

1️⃣ Does this pairing look more traditional/classic than I think it does?

2️⃣ How do you define a "non-traditional" wedding ring set?

3️⃣ Or is wedding jewelry so tied to tradition that almost any ring stack ends up feeling mainstream once it's worn as a wedding set?

For context: I'm in my 40s, live on the East Coast of the U.S., and come from a 2nd/3rd-generation Western European background with no religious affiliations.

✨ Thoughts on a simple band? 💍

I tried on so many different wedding bands, including some absolutely gorgeous eternity bands 😍💎, but in the end I chose a simple Cartier 2.5mm band with a tiny diamond.

The diamond is hidden when I wear it with my engagement ring, but it gives me a little sparkle when I wear the band on its own ✨🤍.

I'm quite active, and while I do have a few fun eternity bands that I love to switch in and out, I find myself being extra careful with all those little diamonds. 😅

So what do you think? Did I make the right choice with a classic, practical band, or should I have gone for a bit more bling? 💎💕

I had this custom-made for my girl and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! ❤️ I used another ring as inspiration but made a few changes to make it uniquely hers. 🥰

The center stone is 1.57 carats 💎 and every detail was chosen with her in mind. Now I can't wait to see her reaction! 😍✨

My husband and I got married young, and at the time an engagement ring just wasn’t a sensible purchase—especially with immigration fees to pay! 🇺🇸📄💸

About a year ago, once I became a dual citizen and visa costs were behind us, we started seriously looking for the perfect ring. I spent ages trying to decide what I wanted, and honestly, all the Instagram marketing had me completely confused! 🤯📱

Then yesterday, we popped into our local antique jewellery shop and there it was—the ring. ✨💍❤️

I was so excited to design something custom, but now that I’m wearing it, I’m honestly wondering if it’s too much or if I just need time to get used to it.
