It felt like my entire world was falling apart.

I wasn’t just grieving a breakup, I was grieving the life I thought I was building.

It didn’t happen suddenly, but when it did, it shattered me.

I remember our last phone call, both of us crying over the letter I wrote to end things.

I felt hopeless, confused, heartbroken, and ashamed. I was lost in every sense of the word.

I could’ve gone home to Texas. But deep down, I knew God brought me here for a reason.

I wanted to stop depending on someone else to make me feel secure.

I wanted to stand on my own, even if it absolutely terrified me.

So I prayed. I journaled. I walked alone through nature.

I cried. I healed. I cried some more. Then I started over.

And little by little, God turned my pain into purpose.

He opened doors I didn’t even know existed.

He gave me something to pour my heart into… something I could build from scratch, for me.

I called her Toven. 🩷

A name I created years ago, one I thought I’d give to my first child.

Now, she is my baby. Something I labored over, cried for, believed in, and loved back to life.

Those first months were full of long days and panic attacks, but I showed up anyway.

I built her one step, one tear, one answered prayer at a time.

So when they say pain creates purpose…

I just think, yeahhhhhhh — I know ball. 🤗
