This weekend, our co-founder and Director of Business Development, Krasimir Terziev, Ph.D., completed Vitosha 100, one of Bulgaria's oldest and most respected mountain ultramarathons.
⛰️ Dating back to 1983 in its current competitive format, the race challenges more than 1,200 participants to complete a 100-kilometer (62-mile) loop around Vitosha Mountain, covering over 2,300 meters (7,550 feet) of elevation gain through forests, mountain ridges, rocky trails, rivers, remote villages, and nine aid stations, all within a 20-hour time limit. Every year, approximately one in four participants does not reach the finish line, making completion an achievement in itself.
🏃♂️ Behind this finish are nearly 10 years of consistent training, averaging around 300 kilometers of running each month, along with careful preparation, continuous learning, and the discipline to keep training even after a full day of work.
🏅 When we spoke with Krasimir after the race, one thought stood out:
"After 40–50 kilometers, it's no longer your legs that carry you forward. It's your mind."
