*Plans Of Illegal PDP LG Council Executives To Invade Council Secretariats Exposed*

- Osun APC Alerts Police, Public

*...Pinpoints State NULGE As Accomplice*

Barring any move by the statutory security services to checkmate their illegal, devilish and destructive intention, the illegally selected purported local government council chairmen and councillors under the auspices of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have concluded an arrangement to invade all the 30 local government council areas and the Area Office tomorrow Thursday the 3rd day of September, 2026.

Information has it that the illegally selected PDP local government council executives have employed the services of hardened and dangerous political hoodlums from within and outside the state to carry out the invasion any moment from now.

It is the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke that has emboldened the said illegally selected purported local government council chairmen to regroup for the invasion exercise.

Further investigation revealed that the illegal PDP local government council chairmen's plan to use maximum force to take over the council secretariats was the outcome of a script designed by them in conjunction with the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees(NULGE) who have never hidden their readiness to be willing tools in the hands of the state government under the administration of Governor Adeleke.

The Supreme Court in its judgement on one of the suits instituted by the purported illegal PDP council executives had described them as unknown to the law of the land which would be making any legal challenge by them in the court of law as mere meddlesome interlopers.

We urge the state police command, the Department of State Services(DSS) and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to take a proactive step on the plans of the illegally selected purported PDP council chairmen to plunge the state into avoidable crisis capable of rocking it to the foundation.

There is no tact and diplomacy in a set of hoodlums teaming up to promote disruption of public peace in the state on a matter that is still very much alive in the Court of Appeal.

It is unfortunate that some disgruntled elements under the guise of operating as purported local government council chairmen are all out to cause avoidable cataclysm in the state.

The affected purported PDP local government council chairmen need to go back to their drawing board and consult those thinking for them as their intended approach to invade the local government councils is only suitable and applicable to the jungle and not where the rules of law reigns supreme.

It would interest the illegally selected purported local government council chairmen that the usual thing for all the parties to the suit to do is to allow the suit to traverse the full cycle of the courts as stipulated by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended.

Any step that the aggrieved purported PDP local government council chairmen may be taken other than the recourse to the court has no any other name than a monumental illegality.

We are alerting the members of the public and the statutory security services of the evil intention of the purported PDP local government council chairmen as we wouldn't want the repeat of the killing of one of the reinstated APC local government council chairmen, Honourable Remi Abass of Irewole Local Government Area, who was killed by some of the identified PDP thugs currently on trial at the Federal High Court, Abuja.

It would be recalled that the suit on the tenure determination of the reinstated All Progressives Congress (APC) council executives which was decided by the Federal High Court against the APC council chairmen and councillors is still pending in the Court of Appeal, Akure, Ondo State.

Should there be a breakdown of law and order, the police and other statutory security services should beam their searchlight on the purportedly selected PDP local government council chairmen and the NULGE officials in the state.

Our party remains a strong political family, and this is a time for reflection, reconciliation and renewed commitment.

"As a council Chairman, I remained committed to the peace, development and wellbeing of our people and i will continue to support initiatives that promote unity, grassroots development and meaningful opportunities for our youths and residents", Hon. Abiodun stated.

ALGON OSUN HAILS FLAG-OFF OF OSOGBO ROAD PROJECT, MOBILIZES FOR APC VICTORY

*Osogbo, Osun State 6th August, 2026*

The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, Osun State Chapter, has described the flag-off of the Osogbo Road Construction Project as a renewed commitment of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to the people of Osun State.

In a statement issued after the ceremony, the Chairman of ALGON Osun, Hon. Idowu, on behalf of all Local Government Chairmen in the state, commended President Tinubu for activating a project that was originally awarded in 2021 by the erstwhile Governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, but was stalled.

"We urge the good people of Osogbo and indeed all of Osun to embrace this gesture from the Federal Government. There is no going back. The road is a lifeline for commerce, movement and economic prosperity," the statement read.

The Chairmen expressed profound gratitude to the Hon. Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi, for his dedication to infrastructural renewal nationwide. They also acknowledged the Kabiyesi of Oshogbo, leaders of the National Assembly, and all APC stakeholders for their unity and support.

According to ALGON, the activation of this road project signals that Osun is strategically positioned to reconnect with the mainstream of national politics through the APC. "With both Local and Federal Government working in synergy, the State of Osun will be better for it," Hon. Idowu stated.

The ALGON Chairman further disclosed that massive mobilization is ongoing across the 30 Local Government Areas and 1 Area Office of the state ahead of the forthcoming governorship election. He called for a free, fair and peaceful election, noting that the people of Osun are tired of "music and dance" and are yearning for real governance and development.

"Come 15th of August, it is a date for our destiny. We will continue to mobilize our youths, women, Iyalojas, all Kabiyesis, members of National Assembly, faith-based organisation and the good people of Osun," he said.

ALGON Osun affirmed its total support for the APC Governorship Candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO. The Chairmen emphasized that all 30 LGAs are united, tight and speaking with one voice on one project: the delivery of better governance to the people of Osun. The Local government need to work in tandem with the value for money allocated and not on overhead bridges, the health care needs a paradigm shift including arterial roads, job creation and other tangible infrastructures.
