Meet Elvis D. Saywon, popularly known by his stage name Larry Genius or simply Larry G, is a rising Liberian vocalist whose distinctive sound continues to captivate audiences across Liberia.

Born on November 23, 2003, in Nimba County, Liberia, Larry G’s journey into music began long before he stepped onto the national stage. His early life was rooted in a community rich with culture and musical influence, which played an important role in shaping his passion for music.

In 2006, he relocated to Paynesville City to live with his father, Counselor Yarlor Saywon. This transition marked a significant period in his upbringing, exposing him to a more urban environment and new educational opportunities. It was during these formative years in Paynesville that Larry G began nurturing and developing his love for music.

Larry G’s artistry is defined by a fusion of Afrobeat, Afro Soul, and Afrofusion, genres he skillfully blends to create a unique and refreshing sound. His music is characterized by soulful vocals, heartfelt storytelling, and vibrant youthful energy, elements that resonate strongly with listeners.

Although he had been creating music for several years, Larry G’s major breakthrough came in 2025 when he signed with Expose Talent Records. That same year, he released his debut single, “My Time,” which quickly became a nationwide anthem and one of the top-charting Liberian songs of 2025. The success of the song firmly established him as one of the country’s most promising emerging artists.

His rapid rise in the industry brought him notable recognition. At the 2025–2026 MTN Liberia Music Awards, Larry G received a nomination for “Next Rated Artist of the Year” and ultimately won the award. He also won “Best New Artist of the Year” at the 2025–2026 Paynesville Entertainment Awards, further cementing his status as a breakout star.

In addition, he earned a nomination at the 2026 Liberia Entertainment Awards (LEA) in the “Best New Artist of the Year” category, highlighting his growing influence within Liberia’s entertainment industry.

Under Expose Talent Records, Larry G has released several official tracks, including “My Time,” “Wicked People,” and “Yolo.” Each release showcases his versatility, creativity, and dedication to his craft.
