Just getting some opinions on storing our rv on a slope under a shelter, google states not to do it due to possible damage to the appliances, slides etc it’s about a 2ft drop from front to back, when we had our 32ft pull behind we could level it and now the motorhome we can’t as it also states do not try and use the leveling jacks. I have built some ramps to back it up on but concerned it may mess up the tires with the weight and pressure.

A little upgrade for the blackstone so I can keep my omelets from running when on campsites they are not level. These should be standard on griddles for camping.

If you have an RV with a water filled tube that has
a screen covered breather tube next to it, you
might be interested in this post. I lost the screen
cover to the opening and have been stuffing
screens I cut roughly round in there for a while but
they keep falling out. The other day I discovered
that in the plumbing section of hardware store you
can buy little circular pieces of screen of several
dimensions. I bought one that fit my opening but
couldn't find a rubber gasket that fit over it to hold
it in place. The solution was to use an o-ring that
happened to come in the exact dimension I
needed. I picked one that was pretty thick and it fit
in the hole snugly. To keep it in place, I put a little
dab of silicone on both sides. I hope this post
might help some others. My RV is a 2015 Thor
ACE 30.1 motorhome

Here’s a smart upgrade for deep cabinets: install round cutouts with rings to make access easier. Just cut circles from craft-store rounds with a jigsaw, mark the cabinet from inside, enlarge the opening, and bolt the rings on. A little messy to do, but once installed, it makes those deep storage spaces so much more practical.

A genius RV hack for taming that heavy 50-amp cord: build a reel system so you only pull out the length you need. It rolls up smoothly, keeps things tidy, and even holds the surge suppressor. No more wrestling with the “angry anaconda” every time you set up!

Pro-tip: Make sure you have spare clevis pins for your tow rigs. I didn't think about that until I lost one. Check them at every stop.
Vaguely related, I've learned it's possible to get mad at your own Jeep for tailgating when it starts peeking out like it wants to pass you.

We are weekend warriors, often arriving to our campsite well after dark on a Friday night. It's not ideal, but better than not camping at all.
Anyway, backing the camper into our spot in the pitch black is often a stressful thing for my husband to do. He came up with the idea to lay down "Runway lights". We inspect the site and then we lay down a strip of battery operated Christmas lights as a guide to where we want the camper placed. He then uses those to line up the tires and back into the spot. We know that if he can line the trailer with those, he isn't going to hit anything and it gives him a visual marker that he normally wouldn't have in the dark
It works like a charm and makes setting up the camper at 11pm a lot less stressful. Thought I would share the tip for anybody else who habitually shows up late to the campground.
