She started working as a housemaid at 10 years old.
At 68, she's still doing it.
And she has zero regrets.

Meet Nanay Marissa Postre — a Filipina from Camarines Sur who never made it past Grade 4. Education was a luxury her farming family simply couldn't afford. So at 10 years old, she became a housemaid, earning just ₱10 a year.

By 15, she was sewing in a garment factory.
By 18, back to domestic work.

Then love found her — and abandoned her at 5 months pregnant.

Her partner left for Saudi Arabia and never sent back a single peso. She gave birth alone, with no hospital and no money.

Holding that baby girl, she made a promise:
"My daughter will go to school. She will finish what I never could."

So she worked.

She sold BBQ and halo-halo under the scorching Philippine sun.
She took in laundry and ironing deep into the night.
She went door to door selling fish every morning.
She sewed clothes for neighbors long after midnight.

She never took a single day off.
Every centavo was her daughter's future.

"She was my only reason for everything. I never complained."

In 1981, she began caring for a little girl named Crishelle in Las Piñas. That little girl grew up, moved to Dubai, became a mother herself — and trusted no one else with her children.

So in 2009, Nanay Marissa crossed the ocean.

She left her own daughter behind to raise someone else's children — so that her daughter could have the life she never did.

44 years. One family. Zero regrets.

Charleen graduated.

Nanay Marissa wept like it was the greatest achievement in the history of the world.

Because for her — it was.

"She finished school. I kept my promise."

In 2019, a housemaid honors event was held in Dubai.
Nanay Marissa wanted to join. But she couldn't afford a gown.
So she built one. From trash.

Plastic bottles. Food wrappers. Fabric scraps. Used curtains.
She walked in wearing garbage — and walked out wearing a crown.

👑 Queen of the Night
👑 Best in Gown

The prize: Dh800.

She sent every dirham home to start a farm for her family in Bicol.
She kept nothing for herself. She never does.

She has since made 21 handcrafted eco-gowns from recycled materials — each one a masterpiece. Each one her quiet declaration to the world:

"I see the possibility where others see garbage."

Today at 68, Nanay Marissa owns no jewelry, no luxury, no title.

But she owns 5 plots of land in Bicol.
She built homes for her family.
She put her daughter through school.

She received the Gawad Kasambahay award from the Philippine Consul General himself.

And she still wakes up before sunrise. Every. Single. Day.

"Don't waste your time. Save money. Have a goal. Help your family. Love your children. One day, they'll thank you — and it will be worth everything."

On paper, she is just a housemaid.

But to her daughter — she is the whole world.

To everyone reading this — she is proof that the most extraordinary people alive are often the ones the world never bothered to look at.
Nanay Marissa — we see you. 🌹

At 65 years old, he was broke…
sleeping in his car.

Then he built a brand that changed how the world eats.

Most people quit after 10 rejections.
He pushed through **1,009.**

Colonel Sanders was:
• Rejected again and again
• Running out of money
• Told “no” more times than most can handle

But he didn’t stop.

That refusal to quit
turned into KFC — now in 150+ countries
doing **$35 BILLION+ in annual sales.**

Think about that.

It’s not about when you start.
It’s about how long you’re willing to keep going.

Where you are right now? Temporary.
What you do next? That’s everything.

Comment “1009” if quitting isn’t an option.

She solved her own murder from beyond the grave—and the police had no choice but to listen.

In 1977, the brutal case of Teresita Basa went cold. No witnesses. No leads. Until a voice from the afterlife began to speak through a coworker, revealing a name that shocked the Chicago PD.

Was it a miracle, a haunting, or a brilliant cover-up? This is the chilling true story of the woman who refused to stay silent.

Do you believe Teresita’s spirit really spoke, or did someone already know the truth? Let me know in the comments.

Happy 81st Birthday, PRRD 🇵🇭

Build Build Build.

May mabilis at mahigpit,

Basahin natin lahat yan.
