sometimes loving them means letting them go 🐾

jude (now radar)

i’ve had him since he was 4 weeks old. he was adopted at 4 months.
we just spent almost two weeks together again—and it reminded me how deep our bond really is.

loving him was never the question.
but sometimes love means knowing when something isn’t yours to hold onto.

this is the part of rescue people don’t always see—
that sometimes the most loving decision is letting them go.

he wanted all of me.
and with three other dogs, i couldn’t give him that without taking away from them.

he deserved more. so i chose what was best for him.

it doesn’t make it less emotional—
but it does make it worth it.

i’m just grateful i still get to be part of his life 🤍

hi again :)
