One year ago I was enjoy Paris with my lovely friend - who took this amazing picture at a house party he invited me to meet his fancy friends. I had arrived a week before the Festival de Cannes to get used to the 9 hour difference and be ready for the festival and meetings we had for projects like: , Vistas Concretas com e , and Lucy is going to Hell- my baby project supported by the greats (composer and beyond) and .daniel (EP)

Though I would have loved to attend , I made a strategic decision this year: 2026 is the year of writing and developing. Staying home as much as possible and focusing on the tasks that will propel the work forward is the right choice. ✨🎬🧚 which is not to say I won’t have a twinkle in my eyes when last years photos start popping up in my phone memories

🤩 How are you building your Creative empire this year?

Got to catch Omaha by Cole Webley and bring along my fellow WIF producer and selfie queen Molly. 🎬 nothing better than watching a truly special art house film here in LA and then congratulating the director and cast after the Q&A.
Big thank you to Greenwich Entertainment for the invite. ✨
Go see .movie ✨🎬it’s a beautiful, heartfelt film and exactly the kind of storytelling I’m drawn to.

MACUMBA: A Family Folklore  is currently #2 in Brazil on Prime Video.
Thank you to Box Brasil Play for sharing this news with me—and for being part of this journey. The film is now available on Box Brasil Play, Prime Video, and Claro TV in Brazil (for now).

What makes this moment even more meaningful is how it happened. This isn’t the result of a massive campaign. We did a small push during its release weekend back in September 2025—and everything since then has been organic. This growth is coming from the audience. From people watching, connecting, and sharing.

That means everything.

To every festival that believed in MACUMBA and helped carry it into the world—thank you for giving it a platform and a life beyond its making.
And to the audience in Brazil: this is yours. Your connection to the story is what’s lifting it.

A million thank yous. Truly.

Los Angeles international Children’s Film Festival was a vibe this past weekend at and I am grateful to the amazing and heartfelt work done by Dan Bennett to elevate the work done by kids and for kids✨🎬 I produced a short film with my niece and even though I couldn’t have her there to talk about her inspiration I think it was a good chance to show her and others that creating something is worth the trouble. Life is now. And it was good for a part of myself that needs to release some worries … Good and finished is better than perfect and in the ether. ….if you believe

Macumba: A Family Folklore is screening in Florianópolis at the Catarina Fantástica showcase — April 3. Follow the tagged festival to find details and join us.
If You Believe (Se Você Acreditar) — a short I directed and produced, written by and starring my niece brilliant Isadora (with her amazing BFF Catarina) — is screening this Saturday, March 28 at 1PM at WonderCon in Anaheim, as part of the Los Angeles International Children’s Film Festival.
Two very different stories, both very close to my heart.
If you’re nearby, come watch with us 🤍

Ryan Gosling is great in this and Sandra Huller is a nice bonus in this multi nation production. (I saw they even benefited from VFX French incentives). It was a privilege to be able to hear from the producers lead by the fantastic Amy Pascal. Thank you for the screening and Q&A, Producers Guild of America.
