Over the past two years, Christian James has continued to evolve as both an artist and songwriter. From “Same Old Dance” surpassing 1 million streams to performing at First Night Raleigh and appearing on CBS, each step has helped shape the artist he is today.

Along the way, he’s expanded his sound, blending indie pop and electronic influences into something uniquely his own. More importantly, he’s discovered a love for collaboration and creating music that brings people together.

The Start Of Something arrives June 16, bringing together nostalgic songwriting, electronic textures, and a collection of songs that each explore a different side of the same world. Built for late-night drives, dance floors, and quiet moments alone, it’s Christian’s most ambitious project yet.

Blending indie pop, disco, and synth-driven textures, they’ve leaned fully into a nostalgic 80s-inspired direction that feels both familiar and fresh. With a growing live presence and a steadily expanding catalog, the foundation is set.

Beyond the numbers, this year was about real artist outcomes. Festival stages, editorial support, meaningful press, strong deals, and long term growth built through consistent music releases.

Our ethos has always been centered on building artist careers holistically. Rather than just chasing streams, followers, or short term attention, we rely on organic data to guide long term strategy and career decisions. That approach gives our artists a real advantage in an increasingly competitive landscape.

As we close out 2025, we wanted to take a moment to refresh our brand mark. The previous logo represented a huge chapter for us and carried EAR a long way, especially through a singles-first, digital-heavy era. As our focus shifts toward albums, EPs, and physical media, it became clear that our identity needed more depth, warmth, and form to match where we’re headed.

Our visual language has evolved many times over the years, starting as Elton Audio Entertainment before moving fully into the record label space as EAR. While our mission remains the same, this new mark brings a more dimensional, badge-like presence built from circular systems. A friendlier face, a stronger icon, and a palette designed to grow alongside our artists.

This is the next step in building tools, systems, and support to help artists navigate the music industry. Thanks for being part of the journey.
