Fred Vasseur confirmed that team orders between Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will be discussed following Monza. He noted that while the initial race start was not positive for the team, it was previously too early in the season to establish a primary driver. 🏎️📊
“The outcome of Turns 1 and 2 was not positive for the team. If the question now is whether there will be a team order or something like that, I think it’s still too early.”
“Last year, Piastri was ahead at this point in the season and, if McLaren had put everything behind Piastri, Max Verstappen would have been champion.”
“At some point, you have to make a decision. But I think it was too early to do so before Monza. Now we will have time to discuss it.”
