The highlight of every film premiere since my first movie when I was 18 is the red carpet event at the historic Rowland theatre. This is my speech pre recorded to address our sold out audience tonight:
Good evening, Central PA,
It’s a bittersweet moment for me to address you all tonight from afar. McKenna and I wish more than anything that we could be there with you, but we find ourselves in Pittsburgh at the hospital, anxiously awaiting the hopeful healthy arrival of our next daughter, Mary Claire. McKenna’s water broke earlier than expected, and we are holding onto faith, trusting in God’s protection and guidance as we prepare for this new chapter in our family’s story.
First, I want to thank all of you—our friends, family, and community—for your incredible support and prayers during this time. Your love has carried us through this season, and we feel so blessed to know we’re surrounded by such kindness and care.
To everyone gathered here tonight, thank you for coming out to celebrate the premiere of Saint Nick of Bethlehem. This film is incredibly close to my heart, and sharing it with my hometown community means more to me than I can express.
I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Danny Roebuck, our outstanding Saint Nick, for bringing so much heart to this story, and to Allen Smith, our real hometown Santa Claus, whose life inspired this film. Allen, your love for your son and your dedication to spreading that love throughout the community as Santa have profoundly touched me. Your story is a beautiful reminder of how God can bring hope, healing, and redemption out of even the hardest trials.
I love my hometown with all my heart. There is nothing I cherish more than the opportunity to share the stories of this special community and its generations of history with the world. Central PA has a unique spirit of resilience, tradition, and love that inspires me every single day. It’s an honor, a privilege, and a joy to tell these stories through cinema.
Thank you again for your prayers and encouragement. It’s an honor to call this community my home and to share its stories with the world.
Merry Christmas ❤️🎄🙏🏻
With love and gratitude,
Spencer Folmar
