Seafood Pasta Recipe 🍽
Ingredients:
For the Pasta:
1 lb linguine or fettuccine pasta
1 tablespoon olive oil (for pasta cooking water)
For the Seafood Sauce:
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 lb lump crab meat
1 cup broccoli florets (blanched)
1/2 cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)
Instructions:
1. Cook the Pasta:
In a large pot of salted boiling water, add the olive oil and cook the pasta according to the package instructions, until al dente (about 9-10 minutes).
Drain the pasta, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water. Set aside.
2. Prepare the Seafood Sauce:
Sauté the Aromatics:In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing for 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
Cook the Shrimp:
Add the shrimp to the skillet, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and are just cooked through. Remove shrimp from the pan and set aside.
Add the Crab Meat:In the same skillet, add the crab meat. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, gently tossing to warm through.
Create the Sauce:
Add the white wine (or chicken broth) to the skillet, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let it simmer for 2 minutes to reduce slightly.Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
Add the Cheeses:
Stir in the parmesan and mozzarella cheese, letting them melt into the sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (optional).
3. Combine Pasta & Sauce:
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing everything together to coat the pasta with the creamy seafood sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
Add the Broccoli:Gently fold in the blanched broccoli florets and cooked shrimp. Stir until everything is well combined.
4. Serve the Seafood Pasta:
Plate the seafood pasta and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately, and enjoy this creamy, seafood-filled dish!
