I wish I could take credit for this one, but this pic I have saved from a friend in Texas. She uses it for parties, but it could be a great hit for the kiddos too!
She did not give a recipe but I imagine this is:

My soon to be step daughter turned 11 this past week. I'm on a tight budget and opted to have a plain cake made at a local grocery store and then decorate it myself with a cup and cake pops bought fairly cheap from Starbucks. I probably saved at least $60. The whole cake only cost me $19.
I'm really proud of how it turned out.🥰

My youngest son recently said he enjoys prepping/cooking suppers and that he wanted something "fancy" for supper tonight. I recommended a charcuterie board cause that's fancy, right? 😉 He made it on his own and was quite proud with his paired iced tea. My older son jumped on board too, but had his GONE before I took a picture.
Ingredients: crackers, sausage meat, cheese, crackers, rolled up ham, beef jerky, chocolate bar, cherries, grapes, carrots and cucumber

I LOVE Starbs Egg Bites but my wallet does not lol. $5.00 for 2 bites is just crazy expensive to me. So today we made our own version. They are smaller than Starbs but just as tasty!
Here's the breakdown of cost and recipe.
Dozen eggs $1.20 (found them on sale)
16oz carton cottage cheese $0.55 (on sale)
Shredded cheese whole bag $2.00
Bacon pieces only used 1/4 cup so $0.50 worth...maybe
I blended the eggs, cottage cheese and shredded cheese until smooth. About 45 seconds. I did invest in a mini silicone muffin pan, total lifesaver. I used a little olive oil to prevent sticking. I added the bacon to the bottom of the muffin pan and filled about 3/4 way full with egg mixture. I added water to a cookie sheet and placed my silicone pan on top of that. Cooked for about 30mins. At 325 degrees. They came out perfect. My last batch we added the bacon on top of the egg mixture and my daughter requested everything but the bagel seasoning and shredded cheese.
I ended up with 63 bites in total. Spent about $4.25.

I’ve learned a way to keep bacon grease from going bad. When it cools, I pour it into a clean egg carton. Then put the egg carton into the freezer. Once frozen, the grease cubes pop right out. I then store them in a ziploc bag that I keep in my freezer. When I cook beans that need seasoning, I just drop a cube in. The cubes can be cut into smaller pieces for smaller servings.

Easy peasy chicken pot pie.
What you’ll need•
A 2 pack of pre made pie crust, 1 can of cream of mushrooms, 1 can of cream of chicken, a splash of milk, about 2 cups of rotisserie chicken, half a small bag of frozen mixed veggies, salt, pepper, thyme, butter spray.
1) Mix together the soups, chicken, veggies and seasoning.
2) Lay one crust out in a pie pan.
3) Add the mixture and topped with the second pie crust.
4) Bake in a pre heated 375 oven for 40 minutes.
5) Take out and spray top with some butter then broiled it for 2 minutes.
Turned out perfect!
