My mom kept this note I wrote her when I was 5 years old. partnered with her to gift it back to me in a frame at the first screening of More Than We Ever Imagined in Columbus the week of the movie’s release. I have never been good at stopping and celebrating myself, it never feels deserved. But they both wanted to make sure I did this time around. I cannot thank the fans enough for getting our concert film into the domestic box office top 5 and the team at for giving us the biggest stage at the cinema. It all felt like something my five year old self would consider “close enough” to fulfilling the prophecy. I had a leg up before we even hit record in Mexico City; everyone knew the fans would make this successful so my job was pretty easy. I hope to see the rise of concert films continue, we proved people want to go see them. The DNA of the live show and the movie going experience are almost identical.
