We have these (I think) heat vents in our house. They’re large (18”x24”) and wooden. I don’t feel safe standing on them. Does anyone have experience with these? It’s just curious, since we are new to old home features like this.

1910 house with gorgeous original oak wood through out all three levels! This particular section had laminate flooring in just this section. Then covered with carpet. ( faded tealish from’80’s) How would I get the rest of this hardeNed plaste like texture mess off? scrapping yielded what you see here. it’s become impossible to hand scrap further. Suggestions on how to remove the test with out damaging the decent kept wood flooring, please would be appreciated. when the vinyl laminate floor was on top, it appeared to be an entryway to the sunroom as it was the same flooring in the entryway to the front of the house.

In 1900 when the (bakery) firehouse was built, this brick floor served as the floor for the horse stalls. History being uncovered.
The grey epoxy will be applied on Wednesday and the topcoat will be applied on Thursday.
We may have to push our reopening to Tuesday instead of Monday.
