It is all about experiences and moments in the ocean that are almost impossible to explain.
An adult humpback and her calf, just metres away facing you underwater with any barriers in between you and them.
They can turn, disappear into the depths, or swim away at any moment but sometimes they choose to come closer and simply observe us. This is what makes swimming with humpback whales in French Polynesia so extraordinary.

Some whale watches seem to have a little extra fairy dust sprinkled on them ✨️
This curious humpback gave passengers the encounter of a lifetime when it approached our boat when the conditions were absolutely perfect. The rainbow was just *chefs kiss*

Then the whale appeared from below. 🌊
With its mouth wide open, it surged upward through the bait ball in a breathtaking display of precision and power.
For the fish, there was nowhere left to go.
For the whale, it was the perfect meal. ✨
This feeding strategy is one of the most incredible hunting techniques in the animal kingdom.
A single lunge.
One giant mouthful.
And hundreds of fish disappear in seconds.
The ocean's giants are far smarter than most people realize. 💙

Thousands of fish moved as one giant cloud through the ocean.
Then the whale appeared from below. 🌊
