Looking for something to do this weekend? Check out the film, ALBANY ROAD, starring Renée Goldsberry and Lynn Whitfield.

When director Christine Swanson approached me about helping her find funding for this beautiful indie project and stated she needed to start production in 65 days, at first, I thought no way, yet God makes a way.

One phone call to my good friend, Dr. Lois Johnson, and her creative financing mind went to work. Just in time for production, ALL the money arrived. (Whew!)

When the co-starring role suddenly became available, I remembered a phenomenal actress I shared a house with in Martha's Vineyard. One text message to Lynn Whitfield - who I knew would crush the part - and days later, she was onboard and on set.

So many other magical moments like this happened. One phone call to a picture car coordinator Leonard Jefferson - a friend from the ALL EYEZ ON ME film - and he was in. Another phone call to our longtime family friend, Dr. Anes Abraham, and the most magnificent quilt made its way to set.

Just a few wins, but critical to production. It takes a village to make a film. Couldn't be happier to see all the love from audiences so far.
