I know it’s far and in between I’ve been posting but I’ll keep it as short as I can....

Oscar has been dealing with a couple of health issues since the summer that just popped up fast. One issue is we are still dealing with his liver values on his bloodwork being elevated. The ultrasound showed a slightly larger liver. He is on special food And Denamarin in hopes to make that number better. Still working on it since it hasn’t lowered quite yet.
The second issue is he hurt himself a few months ago (scrambled on the hard floor when he got spooked from a sound) where he was raising his hind leg and hopping on it for quite awhile. This was 3 months ago and hasn’t healed.. Been to an orthopedist twice and he doesn’t detect anything through X-rays and physical exam. So we thought possibly soft tissue damage... But now we think it could be neck issues with a disc. He can’t bend it a certain way or he will yelp or he loses complete balance and almost falls over. It’s hard to watch. But next step is to get MRI to see what’s going on so he is pretty restricted right now. He’s on gabapentin since we can’t give steroids due to his liver issues.

Besides the emotional stress along with financial stress, we are trying to take a day at a time.
