There came a moment in my life when I realized that protecting my peace, my child, and my future meant stepping away from people who were threatened by my growth. Some responded with harm, jealousy, and attempts to break me down — but what they didn’t understand is that adversity only sharpened my awareness and deepened my purpose.
This experience taught me something priceless:
Not everyone is meant to grow with you.
Some people see your light and feel darkness inside themselves. Some see your progress and feel their own stagnation. And instead of healing, they choose to attack what reminds them of what they haven’t become yet.
But I will not shrink. I will not dim myself to comfort those who refuse to rise.
I’ve learned to separate from those who tear down instead of build, who envy instead of uplift, who would rather see me fall than witness me bloom. I carry no hate — only understanding. I understand that insecurity can twist love into resentment, admiration into jealousy, and companionship into competition.
Still, I move forward.
With faith.
With clarity.
With a heart that chooses growth even when others choose destruction.
My experiences have made me stronger, wiser, and more compassionate. They’ve taught me what Jesus meant when he walked with love through a world that did not always recognize it. Light is often mistaken for threat by those still wrestling with shadows.
But my purpose remains.
I walk forward with love, not bitterness.
With strength, not vengeance.
With truth, not fear.
And those who tried to break me only revealed their own brokenness.
Those who tried to stop my growth only confirmed my calling to rise.
I am still here.
Still evolving.
Still shining — only brighter than before.
