✨ One of the most exciting things about the entertainment industry is that the future isn’t written yet. That dream project you’ve always imagined? It’s waiting just around the corner if you just keep at it and create it into existence.

Sometimes it’s a single relationship that changes everything. Other times it’s the breakthrough you create by refusing to give up and not taking “no” for an answer.

But one of the greatest lessons we’ve learned from our mentor, Doug Claybourne (who produced for the legendary Francis Ford Coppola, one of our favorite directors), is this: it’s not about the end destination.

It’s about enjoying the entire journey—the good, the bad, the setbacks, the wins, and the breakthroughs. That’s where the magic is. 🌟

As I reflect on my birthday today, I can’t help but think about one of the most powerful influences in my life—Oscar-Winner Isaac Hayes. He wasn’t just my first client or my life mentor—he was someone whose music, spirit, and journey truly lifted me.

When I had the honor of working with him, it became so clear: Isaac wasn’t just an entertainer—he was a man of deep purpose. On his birthday, he gave back by raising money for a literacy charity and got all his friends to do the same. That moment has stayed with me ever since. He taught me that success means nothing unless you use it to uplift others.

So this week, when I had the chance to speak at Oscar qualifying at Regal Cinemas, I felt like I was walking in his footsteps—giving, connecting, and sharing with a beautifully empowered audience. Bayou and I left feeling inspired and full of gratitude.

Everything I’m doing now—from storytelling to speaking to giving back—is rooted in what Isaac showed me. On my birthday, that feels more important than ever.

Thank you, Isaac. You changed my life—and I’m trying every day to pay that forward. Thankyou for these stunning photos!!

People often ask us: How do you do you balance it all as a couple, 80x award winning creatives, and being parents?

We’ll, here’s our secret:
🎬 When we’re working, we work.
❤️ When we’re romantic, we really show up for each other.
👶 And when it comes to being parents—our son adds joy and inspiration to our lives.

We’ve found that separating our roles (director, partner, parent) keeps things flowing. We schedule in creativity and date nights. We keep the fun alive while chasing our dreams.

It’s not always easy but nothing is unless you have a strategy and a purpose to win.

👉 Tip: Create structure for your passions and your relationship. Don’t wait for balance—build it.
You can have love, art, success, and a family that uplifts it all. We’re living proof. 💫

While at Film School in NYC creating in the amazing and inspiring Village where every turn down another block gave birth to a new story, I started my first gig working at Adidas America.

My first very viral video happened and I felt that wild rush of excitement and was in awe of the award winning streak.

All these years later, I’m thrilled but now even more because I get to make films with my true love, now winning almost 80 awards together and combining entertainment plus a powerful social impact on society making the world better one project at a time.

So blessed to be a Filmmaker in love with my craft and my co-director
