Caramel-Pecan Apples
Makes 5–6

Ingredients
5–6 firm apples, washed and completely dried
14 oz soft caramel candies, unwrapped
2 tablespoons milk or cream
1½ cups chopped pecans
5–6 wooden sticks
Method
Remove the apple stems and push a wooden stick firmly into the top of each apple. Line a tray with parchment paper.
Melt the caramels with the milk or cream in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second bursts and stirring between each, until smooth. Or melt them in a saucepan over low heat, stirring often.
Dip each apple into the caramel, turning to coat. Let the excess drip back into the bowl.
Roll the bottom of each coated apple in chopped pecans. Place on the lined tray.
Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes, until the caramel sets. Let sit briefly at room temperature before serving.
