LeBron still going strong is wild 👑

Yeah, Chris Paul calling it a career really does feel like the end of a whole chapter of basketball.

With CP3 stepping away, LeBron James becomes the only active player left from the 2008 Redeem Team, which is pretty surreal when you think about what that group represented.

Kobe setting the tone, Wade torching defenses off the bench, Melo and Bosh doing a bit of everything, Dwight holding down the paint, and a young CP3 already running the show like a seasoned vet.

They were the Avengers before the Avengers.

Even the Banana Boat crew, once the unofficial symbol of that era, is basically fully retired now, with LeBron standing alone as the last one still going.

When Chris takes the floor for the final time, every single player who stood on that podium in Beijing will be done…except for LeBron, who’s somehow still performing at a level that makes no sense.

Props to CP3 on an incredible run. One of the smartest, most precise point guards the game has ever seen.

The NBA is definitely going to feel different without the Point God.

LeBron just made his NBA return... straight out of the G League like it was nothing.

And now that he’s back? Bronny gets re-assigned to the G League... literally swapping spots with his dad.

But honestly, this might be good for Bronny... more reps, more playing time, and more room to sharpen his game while LeBron settles back in.

Only the James family can make a roster swap look this smooth.

“Ball-dominant Bron will eat Austin Reaves’ stats.”

“He can’t play off the ball.”

“He can’t take a backseat.”

“His ego won’t let him not be the guy.”

Bla bla bla…Many Lakers critics and even some Lakers fans who dislike LeBron for whatever reason, despite him delivering a championship...were already criticizing him before he even played a game this season.

Sciatica injury kept Bron out for the first 14 games, and during that stretch people kept repeating the same narrative: LeBron won’t fit with this 10-4 Lakers team led, by Luka and Reaves!

Then LeBron played ONE game… and shut all that noise down.

Usage Rate vs Utah Jazz in Lebron’s return game was:

Luka: 40.9%
AR15: 22.9%
Bron: 13.5% (!!)

After a slow start in the 1st quarter, LeBron dissected the Utah defense from the 2nd quarter onward….without dominating the ball.

Bron mostly off-ball, and when he did have the ball, he impacted the game instantly!

It’s only one sample for now, but as Bron said in the post-game interview:
“I ca fit in with anyone.”

So, Lakers Nation, rest assured: Bron fits nicely alongside AR15 and Luka.

Only concern remains the same: Terrible defense.

If the Jazz can drop 126 on you, then you know what happens when West rivals Thunder, Nuggets, TWolves or Rockets come through..!

Send this to all the haters saying LeBron "won't fit".

For over two decades, LeBron James was the system.

He put the franchise on his back in Miami, in Cleveland, and finally in LA to bring home Championship #17 for the Los Angeles Lakers.

But at 40 years old, the script has finally flipped. The King doesn't have to drop 30 to keep the boat afloat anymore. He just has to hand the keys to the kids.

It’s literally the Master Splinter meme come to life: He walked so they could run, and now the Turtles are big enough to carry him.

The "Dream Scenario" is real, and Bron is perfectly content letting the young guns eat.

In his season debut, Year 23 LeBron tallied just 11 PTS, but dished out 12 AST.

He watched from the best seat in the house as the new era took over the scoring load:

🏀 Luka Doncic: 37 PTS, 10 AST
🏀 Austin Reaves: 26 PTS

With Rui holding down the wing and Bronny officially rocking the Purple & Gold, the burden is finally off LeBron's shoulders.

And for anyone who doubted if a ball-dominant Luka could mesh with the GOAT?

🗣️ LeBron: "I can fit in with anybody. I don't even understand why that was even a question. What's wrong with these people out here?"
