Time to break the Ice!!

Here’s a throwback to some development art created for the ice rink scene in Club Penguin’s Cool in the Cold music video.🐧❄️

These early explorations helped shape the final look from the environment, to the lighting, to the overall atmosphere of the video.

Here are some of the original development art created for Forest Friends establishing Appledore and the surrounding Wandering Woods. Cora and Brock’s adventures unfold across strange colorful corners, and every rock, twig and acorn comes to life.

From oversized plants and technicolor wildflowers to Appledore’s warm, storybook atmosphere, the artwork shaped a distinct visual language that felt playful and magical.

Meet Cora & Brock 🌱

At the heart of Forest Friends are two tiny adventurers with very different approaches to the world around them.

Cora, a 5-year-old Faecorn, is fearless, excitable, and always ready to leap before she looks.
Brock, a 6-year-old pebble golem, is thoughtful, cautious, and happiest somewhere warm and cozy.

Together, they balance each other perfectly.
Cora pushes Brock beyond his comfort zone, while Brock helps Cora slow down and think things through.

Their adventures take them across the wandering woods surrounding their treehouse homes — rafting down creeks, climbing sunflower stalks, and parachuting with leaves.

But more than anything, their stories are about curiosity. About seeing nature not as a backdrop, but as a living world filled with personality, wonder, and friendship.

If they could introduce themselves in one sentence:

Cora: “What could possibly go wrong?”
Brock: “I can help with that!” ✨

Looking back at our work on Club Penguin. We loved bringing the game’s characters to life.

By combining Flash animation, Photoshop environments, and 3D cameras in After Effects, we created a colorful “2.5D” look that added depth and movement while staying true to the original style.

At OddBot, we love experimenting and finding creative ways to push familiar tools further.

Great design doesn’t happen in isolation—it grows through collaboration.

On Action Pack, the process was highly organic, with each design feeding into another. Ideas were constantly evolving as the team built on each other’s work, creating a shared momentum across the project.

From early explorations to final visuals, this collaborative approach helped shape a world that's cohesive, playful, and full of life.
