Sunday is 9/21, United Nations International Day of Peace. We will not be hosting a formal celebration this year but would like to encourage each and everyone of us to make a special effort to do something kind on Sunday. Maybe clean out a closet and take clothing to a shelter or clean out your pantry and donate to a food bank. You could visit a nursing home or walk dogs at your local shelter. Use your imagination. Kindness is one of the first steps to peace. HAPPY PEACE DAY TO ALL!

DOVE MAKING WORKSHOP • Cabrillo Beach Youth Center,
3000 Shoshonean Road, San Pedro -
PLEASE HELP!
We need volunteers this SUNDAY, SEPT 9th from 9:00 to 3:00 or any portion of time you can spare! To assemble 60 mini doves
Also on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14 from 9:00 to 3:00 to assemble 30 giant doves
If you have a group of young people who would like to "fly" a mini dove in the parade you can pick up one after 11:30 Sunday 9/8.
Middle school, High School and Adults who would like to "fly" a dove in the parade can pick up a dove after 11:30 Saturday 9/14
It takes from 5 to 8 people to "fly" a dove.
