I just found out that Will Brittain, an artist and one of the costumers for my HAUNTED BY HISTORY photo shoots has passed.

Many of you who worked in my photos probably met him at Valentino's Costumes (aka The Costume Shop).

Will was funny, shy, easygoing, and professional. He adapted a Charlie McCarthy doll into the likeness of one of the models for a photo shoot at the haunted Amargosa Opera House in Death Valley Junction. I didn't think it could be done in time...but he did it.

His work was amazing. Above all else, Will was kind and thoughtful. He'll be missed by many people. Love to Sean, Shon, and family from me and my Haunted by History family. Will made us all look good.

I'm actually going to have to stop tours/events after this one. Too busy these days. In fact, this is the first time I've posted this event on my home page.

As much as I've enjoyed showing off my favorite haunts, I end up falling behind on my other projects.

Sooo...last call for a while. My events were never supposed to last for as long as they have.

From here on out, I will be doing a limited number of personal and private investigations/tours this year. They'll be by "invite only" from among those who have been on past investigations/tours and who have demonstrated a good grasp of how to investigate. Patreon and Subscribers will also get a chance to participate.

Describing something as "paranormal" should be a last resort, not a first one. At least, that's my approach even if it conflicts with other opinions. I'd love to visit the Conjuring House. I've heard that it is NOT haunted like most of the paranormal marketing has described it. This non-haunted conclusion has been stated by historians, at least one former owner, and investigators whom I trust. STILL...I have to see and experience the location for myself.

The owner of the famed Conjuring House is setting the record straight on what caused a fire in the nearby barn earlier this week.

From a technical perspective, this is one of my favorite photos. Normally, when I shoot at haunted locales, I incorporate the location as a character. Not with this one. It was taken, however, at the haunted Victorian Rose, a former B&B that recently sold, in Ventura, CA.

Because the location was a former Victorian-era steeple church building that is said to be haunted by a clergyman (among others), I decided to do a sinner-saint theme. This, of course, isn't one of the saintlier ones.

All of this, of course, is covered in my book HAUNTED BY HISTORY VOL. 1, including what happened there. Although my book shoots major holes in many of the paranormal claims found in other books, there are a few ghost stories that I can't explain.
