The city of São Paulo is one of the biggest film and TV hubs in Latin America and, now that productions are recovering their breath after a pandemic hiatus, the city authorities are launching a call for Brazil’s first ever cash rebate scheme.

The program has five financing lines for projects shot in São Paulo: international films and series; Brazilian productions with strong international potential; advertising campaigns; screenplays that include São Paulo in the narrative but not necessarily shooting in the city; and an incentive for location scouts to explore the city.

Pre-pandemic, Brazil’s financial capital served as one of the backdrops to the Keanu Reeves’ produced dystopian sci-fi series “Conquest”. In his own words: “It’s such a cinematic city because of the architecture, its history and culture”.

Foram 2 dias de muito trabalho com a equipe e figurantes gravando entre os principais e mais famosos pontos de Los Angeles. Filmamos no famoso letreiro de Hollywood, Madame Tussauds na Calçada da Fama, Rodeo Drive em Beverly Hills, entre outros!

BPS worked in partnership with Migdal Filmes to produce the Los Angeles unit of the new installment of Paulo Gustavo’s movie “My Mother is a Character 3”.

It was several weeks of preparation and 2 days of production, with the crew and cast shooting at the most famous spots in Los Angeles. We filmed at the Hollywood sign, Madame Tussauds on the Walk of Fame, Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, among others!
